It could work if Valve make it so it has a specific style while equipped as a hat, and another, smaller, hornless style while equipped as a misc.
Can somebody post a picture of said clipping? I don't have a Noh Mercy in the beta and I don't know how to work HLMV.

Here's an image as of the Christmas update. It's a little dated, but it probably also clips with the newer Spy hats.

Just forget this whole item schema leak and get ready for a pretty cool Halloween update. Really, with all this greed after new update news you're driving yourself crazy. I did this like two months long from the STS leak 'til the Uber Update.
The noh mercy looks fine with most of those hats IMO, the exceptions being the wiki cap, beret, max head, gibus and fez, but isn't the fez also incompatible anyway.
