Why would Valve allow such unprofessional behavior, to allow someone representing their company to outright troll every single user and server owner on HLDS. Valve likes to play around, but confirming a major update then going "LOL SORRYY NOT HAPPENING" isn't just trolling, that's grounds for losing your job.
HLDS isn't made to be Valve's own personal little troll system, it serves a very specific function of telling servers there's a major update happening. If Valve starting outright lying for giggles, server owners would quickly abondon the system entirely.

I haven't personally seen any actual screenshots of the HLDS e-mails, just quotations from that one guy on NeoGaf or whatever it's called. If there are screenshots I'll start believing but until I see them I'll remain skeptical.

Skipping over the last 100 unread posts in this thread doesn't usually hold any sort of consequence because it's usually just people saying "my body is/is not ready" and "I'll craft all of the hats. If this update brings in the Double Misc, which it most likely will.. do you think it will include few weapons and lots of hats/miscs? IMO that would suck, because I love new weapons and having an entire major update based off of hats wouldn't be cool.
