I wonder if the gift wrap itself will be non-tradeable, so you would have to put a gift wrap in gift wrap, so another person could use the gift wrap to wrap crap up. :psyduck:
So it looks like action slot will be for taunts. Pushing it bit too far, game is starting to look like MMORPG way to much.
More like Battlefield heroes
Now we can give hats compassionately!
Heart

So when this becomes available you will be able to gift bought items (set hats etc)?
taunt = drinking it? :ohdear:
Filling it.
That really is genius.
Inb4 someone buys 100$ in giftwraps and wraps a dupe weapon 50 times.
GUYS I JUST HAD AN IDEA SERIOUSLY GUYS WHAT IF WE TAKE THE PRESENT NO GUYS LISTEN AND PUT IT IN THE PRESENT? capitals
Yo dawg.
I stopped playing tf2 because it became a store for items with a side game involving guns, rather than a run & gun cartoony shooter. :frown:
I stopped playing tf2 because it became a store for items with a side game involving guns, rather than a run & gun cartoony shooter. :frown:
I like how everyone exagerates this to that point. Go into any 24-player, stock map server. At least 20 players will be "Running and gunning", and the other 4 will be trading. That means the side part is "a store for items" as you call it.
Oh man, I think I like where this is going
VALVe It's PLAYFISH!
Gift a gift wrap
This really reminds me of the time I went on my favorite server, waited for it to fill up, and then gave everyone a big gift pile. One guy even got a hat.

I think that having a gift wrap item for gifts would be cool as long as we don't have to have it to send a gift.
;25511684']Sounds nice to my ears. I can't trade/craft my gibbus :v: ( I wish I could). Other people can, but it won't let me because It is an "Achievement Item"
I wish I could craft it. I somehow have two and I want to get another hat.
So this is how I assume gifts work. You wrap up something, by combining it like paint, and then use it on any item. I guess, afterwards you choose who you want to send it to, picking from your friends list, etc. Next time the person you gave the gift to dies, it presents them with a gift item, which you open to get the wrapped up item. I think Valve should make wrapping things free, while making it so you only give them the items directly, not through trades and stuff.
Now we can give hats compassionately!
Just for that, I'll Gift Wrap you Towering Pillar of Hats. [editline]19th October 2010[/editline] I predict people are gonna Gift Wrap shitty items like Scrap / Refined / Reclaimed Metal.
Lol gift rap in real life is $2 for a longass roll how much could it possibly cost in tf2?
you can ignore the community you can't ignore gameplay
You can on achievement_idle!
Probably just a way to give someone an item if you don't care about trading and want it to be pretty.
I'm thinking you can put an item in the gift wrap, and use it in the action slot like a Secret Saxton. Just a thought though.
gahhh i could of used this a week ago.
Lol gift rap in real life is $2 for a longass roll how much could it possibly cost in tf2?
A gasman hat costs 17 dollars, a minigun costs 1 dollar.... The Mann Company has some really fucked up prices.
A gasman hat costs 17 dollars, a minigun costs 1 dollar.... The Mann Company has some really fucked up prices.
Even worse for our european bros. Due to Valve's lazy pricing they have to pay what is equal to nearly 25 bucks.
Even worse for our european bros. Due to Valve's lazy pricing they have to pay what is equal to nearly 25 bucks.
Not 25 dollars Just 19.95! [img]http://www.billymays.net/img/BillyMays[1].jpg[/img]
