I can't craft a Jarate and a Sandman together, but I'm 1 scrap from a random craft hat. So I hit the scrap bank and get my 1 scrap, craft everything together, and now I've got a shiny new hat that I can decide what to do with, instead of having to wait until I got a Scout or Sniper weapon, or without having to craft the weapons I actually play with.
