Got a box version from an e-shop just when the game went out. Got 2 hat drops. (Beanie, Sola Topi)
Traded them away for Fedora and Yellow Belt.
Been Playing since beta...no hat drops. Absolutely no hats at all until i was gifted a kabuto yesterday

I've had only Tyrant's Helm drop for me. Now with the help of trading I have 8-9 hats.
i've had 3 hat drops, soldiers stash, texas ten gallon and cheiftains challenge :smug:
I've had 0 hat drops other than a Camera Beard.
My Modest Pile and Heavy Helmet are crafted and traded, respectively.

When I started up TF2 earlier today I got my first hat drop instantly. It was a scotsman's stovepipe.
I traded it for a football helmet.
1100 hours of playing with no hat drops. I did open a crate and get a nappers though!

I've got all but 2 of the pyro hats (tyranus and new gasoline set one) and I've never had a single random hat drop.

Actually, I made the bet to make fun of the people that actually thought it wouldn't happen. And I also did it to show how much hats don't matter.
Then valve did the whole vintage hat bullshit, and now they apparently matter again. I gave him the hats, he got rid of them all, and kept the 2 he likes.
He's a dick, I'm broke, and everyone makes fun of me now.

I think actually I've had a total of ... 3 hat drops, and 4 other crafted.
I guess I'm lucky then. I've had 4 hats drop for me this year.
I also had 1 after 3 years of dedicated play, but 2 days after I got a second one.
My first hat drop was a Modest Pile of Hat and the second one a Trophy Belt. I started to play less than 1 year ago.
I only have one hat that isn't from an event. And I hate it. :smith:
Haven't gotten a single hat drop myself, not counting event related ones. And I've had this game since the release of the orange box.
I got three drops in total but two of them dropped thanks to steamstats. So they were removed. I really don't expect hat drop when I play, but it'd be nice to find some.

It isn't like there was some legal contract filled out.
When trading came out and he was like "HURP GIMME DEM HATS" you could've just told him to fuck off. Especially if you were mostly joking about the matter.
