I have ony found two hats through drops. They were both for the sniper and i found them in a row

Ya know, what you can do is use trading to amass a backpack-full of hats. Just work your way up until you get a good enough hat worth a 2:1 trade. Then do it all over again. I've only had 3 random drops, and have 6 hats now.

Alls I'm saying is it's possible to go from at least something to nothing. That's more why people are a bit hesitant on 2:1 trades. Even the worst hat ever can get you somewhere, minus the hatless hats :v:
