Ohhh that's a big error right there.
So now it's either not breaking them or breaking them at the very last second, just in case the engie gets around to unsapping it himself.
I must try it :v:
While a little rage, engie can just go back to spawn and build an instant lvl 3 entrance.
Unless it takes away the level too.
Maybe the Engie gets a melee update that removes the ability to destroy sappers, so he got to rely on a Pyro?
Just sayin´
I really like this, because you can give the engie some cover againest spies and still help your teammates with things like airblasting out fire and lighting arrows on fire.
Multitasking is now the Pyro's class placement.
When your a engineer waiting on respawn, its painful to watch all of your buildings being sapped without being able to do anything. now that the homewrecker does what it does, a problem aware pyro could easily dispatch the threat of both spy and his sapper. after playing for a couple of hours with a friendly pyro, i now see the pryo in a new light. not a W+m1 as rumoured as before but a key player, a player that can quickly change the outcome of the immidiate danger, adjust the odds in his teams favour, a true "Pybro"
I guess the de-sapping is offset by the rarity of a Pyro actually doing the deed. Out of all the saps I've seen, I've only seen one Pyro unsap a building. Most people just don't do it. Though I guess that's because a lot of Pyros don't support their team, but whatever.

I miss my Homewrecker now, I am that kind of Pybro support, always near an Engi, airblasting sticky and spychecking. :saddowns:
Does anyone else feel that the pyro's main role is getting drastically changed from offense to support?

Majority of the player base does.
My TF2 won't update.
It just says it's suspended, and if I try launching, it updates like 10MB and goes off verifying my game files for some reason, after which it just stops updating.

All classes are getting more supportive roles, to encourage teamwork. I think it's a positive thing.
For example, Heavies Sandwhich, Snipers Jarate, Pyros Airblast, Scouts Bonk etc.
A lot of good those do. I've hardly seen anyone use Bonk for support. Rather, I've seen Scouts use it as an escape tool from fire. I usually see Jarate being used against single targets when Snipers are under attack, but sometimes they use it supportively. I've yet to see a Heavy drop a sandvich for me, even when I was screaming medic in front of them, on fire. They just eat and move on. The Bugle is fine and all, but the fact that a majority of people get scared of their glowing weapon makes it only useful for the Soldier (Atleast in the scenarios I've been). Airblast seems to be the only mechanic thats truly supportive that belongs to a different class other than Engy and Medic.

I do, but I dont mind it. I like it actually. This is TEAM fortress 2 after all, and every class should have some sort of teamwork utility (Hell, even the sniper has some with jarate).
Haha, I was wondering why I was seeing so many spies raging. I thought I just kept getting lucky seeing them right when they cloaked.
Well, well well...
Guess what ONE of the new secret changes in this update was:
The hotrod now has animations for going up and down.
Basically, quoting the engineer, "Heheheheh!"

that was there since the hotrod came out
that was there since the hotrod came out
So how come it is never used ingame?
Oh well.
There was only an animation when you held a toolbox.
At first I thought this could be the engie update... :crying:

I'm sure the title would've been "Engineer Update."

I don't mind it either i was just wondering if anyone else felt the same way.
and to think, before I saw this, I was waiting to get another melee weapon so I could craft all of them to make a slot token, THANKS VALVE!
I keep crashing after about 20 min of playing, never happened before.

It's new so not all players know about it. It'll catch on eventually, just like air blasting.

Yeah, I guess so. I wish things like this would show up in the killcount, saying things like "Pyro put out Medic," or "Sniper Jarated Spy" or something like that.
