I am sadder about it than you. Except for the part where I can make an arm-strap that's hidden when you're not using the sharpdresser :P
Weapons can be given equip regions too.
Weapons can be given equip regions too.
bleh I hate that
-snip-
Liking this update. Thanfully I didn't play yesterday, so I have the chance on getting the new crate. Here's me wondering why they put the knife into the new crate again though...
bleh I hate that
It might not be ideal but it saves potential eye bleed. Robots cannot take less damage when rocket jumping, it's just wrong man!
They should make a tool that allows you to turn Unique weapons into Strange ones. [sp]So I could get a Strange Big Kill[/sp]
They should make a tool that allows you to turn Unique weapons into Strange ones. [sp]So I could get a Strange Big Kill[/sp]
But what if you want to turn it back That's a terrible idea
Stranges would certainly be a creative way to re-release older non-craftable promo items without directly making them craftable. I think it's just the Big Kill and Frying Pan, isn't it? Since the Luger and Iron Curtain are still obtainable, and the Poker Night watch can't be strange.
Someone must have had a box of them laying around and got inspired.
They took the mint color from the mint filling of the candy, and the darker color from the color of the packaging/wrapper. I really do hope this trend of subtle colors continues, these two are good looking paints.

I kinda would've guessed/hoped the new crates would contain Strange Warrior's Spirit. As that got fixed recently.
They should make a tool that allows you to turn Unique weapons into Strange ones. [sp]So I could get a Strange Big Kill[/sp]
That won't work at all unless they restricted it from being used on certain items or they coded explicit cases for the different types of weapons such as Lunchboxes, Battle Banners (as well as any other weapon that has something to count other than kills) AND weapons that count kills but have something else to count to make it work properly such as the Ullapool Caber (it only counted melee damage before) and the Flamethrowers (if they ever allow them to count airblast kills too). Once they have weapon types all getting their own counter code done, then they can do that without a hitch. The non-damaging weapons will be a headscratcher for them to write code for if they don't exclude them from being made strange via item, however, simply because they need to identify what they'd count.

Banners could count times used. Homewrecker could count buildings destroyed. The only two I can't think of anything for are the Danger Shield and the Gunboats. :v:
Bonk, Crit-a-Cola, and the Heavy lunchboxes consumed.
Those would be easy as hell to farm. More like Kills while Critboosted, Damage dodged as Scout, and allies healed with Sandvich.
You know, in a roundabout and very delayed fashion we're now starting to actually move towards having Pie Tony's stylin' update, at least in a weekly new style form and considering new items have been added since then. New Styles over the last three weeks - Reggaelator - Brown Bomber - Bonk Boy - Hero's Tail So it's getting there, and it seems the Western Wear shotgun style will probably be added next week, and hopefully the Protector GRU/White Stripe style are also added. And maybe the three unused styles I wrote code for (Pyromancers, Elfin' Deal and Copper's Helmet) It only took more than a year... but well, it's slowly being trickled in And it's also nice to see more new items using styles. For awhile there I thought the concept of styles was dead.
Bonk, Crit-a-Cola, and the Heavy lunchboxes could count times consumed. Banners could count times used.
But this ones would be a little dumb because they're too easy to farm (at least the Heavy ones)
The only two I can't think of anything for are the Danger Shield and the Gunboats. :v:
And Demoman's boots.
Those would be easy as hell to farm. More like Kills while Critboosted, Damage dodged as Scout, and allies healed with Sandvich.
And Jarate, Mad Milk, and Dead Ringer cannot be just as easily farmed? I do agree that they should count more reasonable things. The jars should have counted assists on coated targets instead of sodden targets. I hope they retroactively change that.
Gimme strange Mantreads
New Styles over the last three weeks - Brown Bomber
It got styles? Holy fuck I'm so blind.
I dont think they are going to add different scales for strange counters, lazy and all that. So the stat tracked must be comparable to the current numerical/rank scale I would imagine.

I know LaroLaro's concept style cap is one not on the workshop
I think they'd have to be in the workshop to be considered
the Gunboats.
Distance rocket jumped?
And Demoman's boots.
Distance walked with them?
Danger Shield
Um..times you would have died if not for the extra HP?

The Danger Shield could count taunts in kill came after killing an enemy. Same for Booties, Gunboats, etc, any passive item. It'd give them a purpose and a way to track how many times you're taunted in the kill cam.
Gunboats could count kills while rocket jumping.
i think a better way to count taunts in killcam would be a strange action item Strange Schadenfraude, Strange Taunt Strange High-Five could just count high-fives since those aren't quite as easy to pull off
All theses new crates made me think... Doescontributors get money on strange community weapons unbox? Like the winter ones? Because there's not much incentive to direcly buy weapons in the store when you can drop them, craft them, and unbox strange version. I kind of wish that bought weapons would be strange or something.
Oh, phew. Am I late to the Strange Bottle update?
