Hopefully the individual tweaking that's needed will fix it. Not to be insulting, but I couldn't really handle it even in video form >_>
Heavy demonstration video for those who are asking.
i'm sorry but that sounds like a guys voice you edited
i'm sorry but that sounds like a guys voice you edited
Why do you keep saying it's me. I didn't make the model or the sound pack, just the video for it. Jeeze.
Hey, if anyone wants to pay for plane tickets to fly my volunteer voice actors up here to the Guildhall's sound booth, I'd be more than happy to re-record everything as professionally as Valve's. You guys do realize that what you hear in the game is not the actual quality of the files they provided, and that there are post-processing effects in an audio script which are causing issues, right? Short of having a padded room to record lines in or really advanced software, I can't come up with any way to improve them. Of course, you are all welcome to release your own professional sound packs. It is a community mod, after all. :) Also, I've updated both models again on FPSB with a fix to the bonemerge errors which were causing crashes for some people. If you were having that problem, let me know how it is for you now, but it should be fine.
Could you not upload the huge raw files? Then get somebody who's good with sounds to sort it out?
Could you not upload the huge raw files? Then get somebody who's good with sounds to sort it out?
Agreed. Even though the recordings are less than optimal, it's always potentially possible to make them better before the post-processing with some sort of magic audio guru techniques.
Could you not upload the huge raw files? Then get somebody who's good with sounds to sort it out?
All I have are the .wav files I was sent, and they're in the download. I don't know anyone who is knowledgeable with audio stuff, but if anyone wants to mess around with the recordings, feel free. I noticed that the original TF2 recordings sound very muffled in the .wav files, whereas the custom ones sound much sharper due to the room they recorded in. Maybe that can be adjusted somehow?
I'd love to have that female medic give me head surgery... [sp]If you know what I mean[/sp]
Delightfully crude!
These are great mods. I can't imagine how long it took you. I'm definitely downloading them, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna use them right away.
I never imagined someone could make a good female Heavy. Nice work.
Little off topic, but the Heavy's nomming is still male.
Uhhhh so you fixed the bone errors....but....uhh.... you packaged the heavy model as the medic.
Haha, oops. Brb. It's fixed, I exported the Heavy over the Medic smd. I haven't slept much this week.
Having a preset expression on the face is bad Alia. I fixed that so her default face is more blank then angry. made this easier to make.
[img_thumb]http://uppix.net/7/9/f/985aed93ff26ec1b59d40ecb05c18.jpg[/img_thumb]
can we get more like this? :P I need new desktops XD
Having a preset expression on the face is bad Alia. Unless you're talking about the face in the ref pose, because any expression on that face was by the suggestion of an artist at Valve. That's sweet, though. Did you notice any of the eye decal appearing through the eyelid when you closed her eyes like that? It's been bothering the crap out of me.

This appears unfortunate.
-slight bumb- For some reason, the models wont show anymore, they just have the weapons floating =S
This appears unfortunate.
This still needs a fix, please Chemical.
This appears unfortunate.
Is that a custom version of the helmet? Because I had to change the size as well as the position to get that hat to fit. By the clipping, yours looks like it is placed in the default position. Make sure the hat model in your folder is the same one I provided, and let me know if it works.
-slight bumb- For some reason, the models wont show anymore, they just have the weapons floating =S
Give me more information on this. What servers were you playing on? Does it work in the developer commentary/HLMV? And have you downloaded the most recent update to my models? I know there have been some new updates this week and the last ones wreaked havoc with my project, but I've been taking a break the past few days.
She has man hands.
-slight bumb- For some reason, the models wont show anymore, they just have the weapons floating =S
sv_pure server re-start tf2 if not, I do not know
She has man hands.
Lol, not this again.
That is so incredible. It'd be cool if Valve put in an option to switch between female and male classes (EXCEPT THE PYRO HURR DURR), and have these incredible nice characters straight away. This needs to be official. On a side note, how did you get blooming to work?
These are really, really nicely made. The only thing I'd have to point out that the thanks for healing with the medic is still "Thank you Herr Doctor", when surely if the medics are female it should be "Thank you Frau Doctor".
ChemicalAlia, if you do a Female Spy, I've already made a voice pack for it (although some of the lines should be rerecorded). http://maxofs2d.free.fr/files/tf2femalespy_maxofs2d_v2.rar
