Air Blast Charging has been in-game and has worked since forever, even with a different visual effect. Maybe they'll finally use it. They also recently added more/less airblasting force as a possible attribute. I'm not sure if that works right now or not.
Me and my friend have been discussing the numbers and other things on Foundry and the capacitor.
11:10 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: my mom is going to help us our with some of the ARG shit 11:10 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: I showed her the numbers in cp_foundry 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: She said 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: That the numbers which are not the year 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: all added up 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: along with the one behind the beam on the ceiling 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: are 61 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: And if you take away 61 from the year 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: it leaves with 11:11 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: 19:00 11:12 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: which may be 11:12 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: the time 11:12 AM - Sarmon Darkwatch: that something may happen
Would it be game breaking if the jetpack allowed the scout to elongate his jumps? With a cooldown bar of course.
Would it be game breaking if the jetpack allowed the scout to elongate his jumps? With a cooldown bar of course.
It would be pointless seeing as he can quadruple jump already and it would be unfair if you're proposing that a misc item does this.
Would it be game breaking if the jetpack allowed the scout to elongate his jumps? With a cooldown bar of course.
It would probably replace one of his weapons if it actually had a gameplay element tied to it.
Or make it a set bonus and tie the cosmetics to new achievements
[...]a flamethrower that limits air blasting in favor of flame-buffing (degreaser)[...]
How does the degreaser limit air blasting or buff flaming?
Would it be game breaking if the jetpack allowed the scout to elongate his jumps? With a cooldown bar of course.
Nah, it's going to be: A Jetpack + Gives an ability for a small aerial boost after the first jump. - Removes double jump Just a cosmetic item in a disguise.
Nah, it's going to be: A Jetpack + Gives an ability for a small aerial boost after the first jump. - Removes double jump Just to cosmetic item in a disguise.
And then people would hate it.
I wish someone would make Dingodile's dancing animation when he kills you in Crash Bandicoot 3 into a Pyro taunt. I think it would fit extremely well both as a reference and with Pyro's personality and appearance.
it wouldn't be that hard for them to implement, the particles already exist, it's just attaching them and hooking up the event
They could use the same particle system they implemented for Demo and Soldier explosive jumping at their feet.
you know what I really want Valve to do? make an update I know I'm in a minority here, but I think that's the best course of action right now
Are we just assuming the jetpack will be a misc because it was submitted as one?
Air Blast Charging has been in-game and has worked since forever, even with a different visual effect. Maybe they'll finally use it. Would be so broken, but oh wow I'd love it.
you know what I really want Valve to do? make an update I know I'm in a minority here, but I think that's the best course of action right now
Everyone's hyped right here. It's more easy to live with the wait not showing it.
The attributes are pretty old.
I... Oh wow, they are... :( It seems like yesterday

Would be so broken, but oh wow I'd love it.
1st of all, yes, because there is already a confirmed Primary and Secondary coming with it. 2nd of all, I was thinking it would blast people further away, possibly deal damage when enemy hits a surface like the Fists of Steel in the Advanced Weaponizer.
Oh, normal rocket projectiles turn into mini-crits. I still remember my first successful reflect: I was on the point on viaduct where I thought I might as well try the airblast. Then BAM two reflect rocket kills.
I have the strange feeling that the new flamethrower is going to be based around airblasting. It's a core Pyro mechanic, that hasn't been worked on since like ever. Backburner makes airblasting even harder, the Phlog completely denies it and the degreaser is just a combo weapon that involves airblasting only passively.
I have the strange feeling that the new flamethrower is going to be based around airblasting. It's a core Pyro mechanic, that hasn't been worked on since like ever.
A core mechanic that wasn't even in the game to begin with!
I'm back from the beach. Why isn't it Monday yet
I have the strange feeling that the new flamethrower is going to be based around airblasting. It's a core Pyro mechanic, that hasn't been worked on since like ever.
So Star's April Fools?
I wish someone would make Dingodile's dancing animation when he kills you in Crash Bandicoot 3 into a Pyro taunt. I think it would fit extremely well both as a reference and with Pyro's personality and appearance.
While I love that game to death and always will, I think that Dingodile's animation is far too silly for a human to be doing. Most notably, look at the guy's proportions: he's got huge legs and tiny arms, it just won't look right when being done by someone with more human-like proportions (no matter how huge their hands are). His Twinsanity animation is very similar as well. The other one I can think of is the added part of the Dingodile dance that was added in CNK. The classic disco pose that was appended to the end of his typical victory dance. Or perhaps the appended part to his dance from CTR where he aims the flamethrower upward and fires. If it makes you feel happy, I am slowly teaching myself to model so I can make a Dindodile-themed hat for Pyro. It's not as blatantly obvious as "lop his head off and put it on the Pyro" but it's subtle and fits TF2's theme/tone. Learning kinda slow, might have been better off to ask someone else to help me. I made a cube! v:v:v
So Star's April Fools?
I actually liked that to a certain point. Sure it was overpowered as hell, but hey, maybe Valve used that 6 months wise. [sp]lol[/sp]
A core mechanic that wasn't even in the game to begin with!
No, but a long enough time.
Nah, it's going to be: A Jetpack + Gives an ability for a small aerial boost after the first jump. - Removes double jump Just to cosmetic item in a disguise.
it wouldn't be used as a secondary, because weta submitted a primary and a pistol for scout and they wouldn't make it replace the bat :/
DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY 24 HOURS REMAIN but besides that, and give me all your clocks, but do we TRULY know MvM stands for Mann/Man vs. Machine?
DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY 24 HOURS REMAIN but besides that, and give me all your clocks, but do we TRULY know MvM stands for Mann/Man vs. Machine?
More like 30 hours remain. Also, MvM was the folder for sounds related to giant robot classes, tanks, and a giant robot boss so it's what we've all assumed.
I've been thinking MONDAY = 6 letters 6 Divided by 2 = 3 half of 6 = 3 HALF and 3? Monday, Half Life 3 is announced
Speaking of Star's April Fools. What about a GRU for Pyro? It would be an interesting weapon for dime-a-dozen back-[del]stabbing[/del] burning scumbags - like [del]you[/del] me.
