Preferably with a new weapon type, and not just some basic stat changes.
*cough*grenadesonhischest*cough*
No! Grenades would be awful.
Id prefer an incendiary cannon.
EDIT:
Due to shitty OP im gonna make it less shitty by explaining how it works.
The Incendiary Cannon is a Primary that launches a explosive similar to what you see in the grenade launcher, but larger and with more "Weight", making it fall faster after launch.
When it explodes, it could either:
A: It blows up, doing a 5 second afterburn that deals 3 to 5 damage every half a second to anyone in the explosions radius, and causing a small pool of fire to form where it exploded for 10 to 15 seconds.
B: It blows up, causing explosive damage AND the average afterburn to anyone in the radius of the explosion.
The weapon would also mark a new form of pyro jumping!
B seems like a pretty good weapon , you couldnt really spam it and wont go far , and it dont seem op either
No! Grenades would be awful.
Valve said they were never going to add grenades becuase they were impossible to balance. Play demoman if you want them.
B seems like a pretty good weapon , you couldnt really spam it and wont go far , and it dont seem op either
Yeah, Maybe i was thinking too much of something that's truly ridiculous with A, B is seeming alot better to me too.
No! Grenades would be awful.
Grenades did not work in TFC, and they won't do here either
No! Grenades would be awful.
Agreed. Grenades should only remain as a server side mod used for mixing up gameplay for fun and should never be official.
Also, Remember Concs? Yeah those were annoying as sin due to people being able to pretty much insta-cap flags, though im totally fine with it if the people im playing with don't find nades as "pro weapons"
Hey guys. Let's play as Pyro for today and tomorrow for the Pyro release!
I'm honestly just looking forward to Meet the Pyro. Nothing else.

Meh, I'd rather have something less like that, and more like a Jarate that sets people on fire who are within the initial splash radius. I can see how fire left on the ground would cause a lot of spawn camping.
At which time exactly do those updates (like the über update) come out?

i think by grenades he means exploding ones
*cough* jarate mad milk *cough*
Those aren't grenades, Those are throwables.
Argument invalid.
Every class should have 1 throwable, IMO
Every class should have 1 throwable, IMO
and that is needed because...?
Every class should have 1 throwable, IMO
Most likely impossible, The only thing throwable that pyro could use would be a jar of oil, and even then no one could possibly think of anything truly original for the other classes.
Every class should have 1 throwable, IMO
Yeah, Pyro already has one as well.
Flamethrower
You also never said why my item isn't even worth 1 bill.
Valve said they were never going to add grenades becuase they were impossible to balance. Play demoman if you want them.
I'd like more things like Mad Milk or Jarate.

Ok, a throwable for pyro that is his version of jarate, but with fire. Maybe make it a molotov cocktail, although those typically leave a lot of fire on the ground, which as previously mentioned leads to spawn camping.

If you take away Pyro's only form of ranged damage, it had better stack up against the other secondaries. A 1-time use throw-able does not stack up. Unlike Sniper or Scout, Pyro needs that ranged secondary to remain a threat.

NO, NEVER, Not after incendiary grenades.
They dont work like the incendiary cannon version b i described earlier if your wondering, they coat the ground in fire like this molotov would and will set anyone that passes through on fire.
NO.
and that is needed because...?
For shits and giggles
For shits and giggles
Thats what hats are for, not weapons.

So modify the damage and/or the re-charge time compared to jarate then. Either that, or give him an ammo cap of 2 or 3 and make him have to go get ammo, but I'd personally rather see it on a recharge time with an ammo cap of 1 at a time.
Also, there are other playstyles. It would make for a weapon that would fit the character's theme (I mean come on, molotov cocktails and pyromaniacs go together like cookies and milk), and could be fun. Sure, compared to a ranged weapon it might not be as useful for seriously competitive TF2, but hey, it could still be a fun and at least partially useful weapon. I know I'd like a way to easilly set multiple enemies on fire at the same time as they rush through a door at me from medium range.
Mad Milk, Jarate, the Sandman and the Wrap Assassin are visually not grenades, but their effects are essentially just grenades.
Replace the Sandman's ball with a flash-bang grenade in your head, and they're basically the same thing, minus splash, but that's not necessarily a thing grenades have to have

I know what an actual molotov cocktail is. I'm talking about something that doesn't leave fire on the ground.

I wish I could hit agree to this multiple times. People just have bad memories of the old grenades, and are unwilling to even think about anything that reminds them of them.
