About the gauge message:
Images like these are usually made in layers. I'm guessing someone at Valve has a huge final image, with whatever will fill that empty space under the meters and a button on the corner saying "do not click until you watch the video!". When they had to export the bare image for the first day, one of them forgot to turn off the "button text" layer.
Which means there's some kind of big announcement to be made after the MtP short. My bet is on the Adult Swim deal.

The pages of the announcer in the poopy files were somehow obtainable with the banana error and we could not manage to get them? Just asking in case someone knows the awnser.
