I think it has to do more with the fact that it happened so early, and that's all we saw. I think if the blog post happened at like 7 PM, people would be more like "Oh boy can't wait to see tomorrow!" But since it happened so early, I think people are kinda like "What, is that it? Where's the rest of it?"

Remember that feeling you got when you found out there was an Update page to view this morning. That special, magical feeling you got in the very cockles of your heart when anything was possible and the world was your oyster.
Now take that feeling, and bottle it, and save it for the very end of Wednesday's festivities. No matter how terrible or unexciting or depressing you may think the contents of the Pyromania Update turn out to be, no one can take away that special feeling.
Use that special feeling to resist any urge to post about how horrible you may think Valve is, or how slighted you may feel, or how stupid everyone but you is. Use that special feeling to be happy again. Use that special feeling to spare the rest of us your infantile, unfounded, and self-important sense of entitlement. It's just a game. And trust me, everyone will like you more for doing so.

What I believe will happen:
The rocket is meant to blow up red/blu base, the gullible mercs do it all in good faith, believing the poopy joe story.
What happens then is that the rocket full of australium [i]the inventor's deam[/i] will crash into blu or red base, killing them all and will convert the machines there into robots. to be fought against by the other team.

It crashes somewhere else, the australium falls into a third faction's hands and they create robots to fight red and blu to take their assets.

if the next two days are as lackluster as this and this is the only update we get this year then yeah kind of disappointed

How the hell is it lackluster? IT'S A NEW GAMEMODE! We haven't gotten one since, what? 2 years ago? It's a wonder the TF2 team hasn't stopped updating this game when the community is this ungrateful

Welp, can't complain. Spoiled the fuck out of Pokemon BW 2 this weekend, Dawnguard comes out tomorrow for 360 and the beta testers WILL spill the beans, and this is happening.
Not to mention, I have to learn how to tell apart all insect orders by looking at their mouthpieces by Wednesday, and a whole bunch of basic biochemistry by Friday. So warm feelings are to be expected. After all, it is Meet The Pyro, of course it'll be warm.

But this isn't the only update were getting this year. We still have the annual Halloween and Christmas updates, The Saxxys, and maybe Manniversary.

So guys, those documents we saw today had INCINERATE on them, right?
What if the Announcer thinks that Pyro is a stupid abomination and tells him/her to incinerate them.
What if Pyro is actually a rational human being and reads through the documents, thus giving Pyro an understanding of what's going on behind the scenes and possibly making him want to quit?
