Ha, the heavy trying to shoot through the glass had me cracking up. I've actually seen that happen before.
Last summer around this time, I saw pretty much everything in there happen on an hourly basis. It was so horrible it was funny.
It is possible that the pyromania update will only have a small amount of content, but then right after that, we get another update that adds MvM, TOBOR and much more stuff.
I'm thinking of this, remember that thing on the first day on HUB with some weird characters that implied to not watch this before Meet The Pyro and was removed later?
I think that will reappear and Valve want us to see MtP first, because Robots will be revealed on the video, then we got to see all the info about MvM in the site.
Rainbows?
It's not impossible to script it to where you have to watch MtP before being allowed to click the Day 3 page button. So who knows, maybe they'll do that.
hold on
the new scattergun
you can't jump otherwise it resets the counter, meaning to fill the meter you'll have to run in a straight line

I wonder if each junk item corresponds to a weapon, there are 7 junk items and only 6 weapons shown so far
I feel like the Brawler's Blaster would have made a fucking amazing Pyro shotty stat-wise, instead of a scattergun. Scout doesn't need to go even faster.

Untill you get that boost it actually makes him... slower.
I really, really hope we will still get the Dr. Grordbort sets today/tomorrow. Don't throw boxes at me, but I was honestly waiting for them more than Meet the Pyro.
Time will tell, just don't get too optimistic.
I'll be a bit disappointed if there's no hidden link that leads to a soldier medal-esque prize.
Must get those new specs for the Sniper and the cans for Soldier.

Considering the shitstorm last time and that people have lives? Meh.
I think by "no unscoping", they mean the charge won't reset when you fire.

So a trader who is home right now can claim it on his 20 accounts while a die hard TF2 fan at work gets shafted? Ya I dunno bout that.
I'm glad we're finally getting new stuff, but this update seems pretty miniscule compared to last year's Uber Update. Last year we got 20 weapons, a new map, seven or eight new hats, Strange weapons, new taunts, Meet the Medic, and it went F2P. This year we have a new map (yeah they call it a mode, but really it sounds like CTF/KOTH hybrid which custom maps have done), six new weapons, Meet the Pyro, and maybe three new hats. I know we still have tomorrow, and maybe they will reveal a Valve-made Pyro set, but after seven months, I expected a ton of stuff considering Valve called the update "massive" and said they had a "bunch of new stuff this week." And after months of teasing, all the way back to secret stuff in Foundry, we still don't have MVM mode. I wouldn't care as much if Valve didn't constantly tease the community about it.

Making the new game mode requires more work than taking couple of community made items from the workshop, so I'd consider this about as big as the Über update. And there's still one day to go.
Massive
This is cool and all, but it's no massive.
There's a lot to be added, and Valve will add them.
Remember how many loose ends there are.
-Equip regions
-MvM in the schema
-Mystery items, only one has been explained, and that was with an entire gamemode
There's more I'm missing, too.
The flare gun stats don't look too good. The flaregun is good for the pyro to do long range damage, so the knockback isn't useful at that range, and up close you'd want to use the shotgun instead. Plus, it does less damage. If it still gets crits on people who are on fire it might be good to use if you're low on health but otherwise as a Pyro you could just use your compresion blast to keep people away while you retreat. The ability to ignite multiple people at once is basically a detonator on hit instead of manually detonating, so it might be better for people who can't time it that well, but then you can't flarejump like with the detonator.
It might still be good for controlling enemy movements though, like you often do in close range with the Airblast. So if you don't want to waste airblast, Scorch Shot the enemy into a corner, then axstinguish. Especially useful for people with that nooby futuristic w+m1 Flamethrower without airblast.

May this never.
Ever.
Happen.

AGAIN
Though, it's an interesting social experiment. :v:
Wait, isn't it usual 4 days for each update? Uhh.
So with the new scatter your default speed is 6% faster than soldier, still slower than demoman. Shots do shortstop damage, but boost can get you up to 172% speed. Pistol will remove fall damage from not jumping and give 144-145 HP, however you basically take crits from any fire source.
"a new game mode"
no tobor...
tbh, TOBOR sounds big enough to be its own thing.
This is the Pyro's Update, and all the stuff they'd have to add for TOBOR mode would kinda steal his thunder.
We know this much: it IS happening and we WILL get it before the end of the year, and that's good enough for me.
Valve Updates age like fine wine, the longer they take, the better they are.

They said these words in the blog post today:
We've also only got one more day until Pyromania goes live, exploding into a fireball of new item sets, a new game mode, and of course, Meet the Pyro.
Expect more. There isn't going to be one, but two new game modes. Plus on top of this, we'll get the Grordbort Scout and Medic weapons (hopefully).
On the bright side, under 23 hours left until MTP!
What is "Focus"

Give me all of your clocks and boxes but.
I heard that someone found out a secret soldier page, is that true?
I'll be a bit disappointed if there's no hidden link that leads to a soldier medal-esque prize.
They haven't done that in years. What makes you think they'll start now?

Or both rapidly. :v:
Expect the unexpected.
