I want to ask for the Baleful Beacon.
Seeing the Junkyard Justice in all its glory finally in-game, it seems the Beacon has a very good chance.
Page updated.
Wait what just happened.
The pages just updated.
Stop asking for Melee weapons. We have a shit ton of melee weapons already, I'd rather have more primaries and secondaries for every class.
Not asking for melee weapons, just saying if they couldn't come up with anything else it will be maximum disappoint. Keeping high hopes for the last day.
Because I'm pathetic, I kept thinking about this at work today.
I'm getting more and more into this rocket launcher. I think I'm finally gonna push soldier out of the 2nd least played spot with this thing.
The dispenser negative is genius. You can't just shoot 3 rockets over and over, you actually have to think about this shit, or keep making trips back and forth. The only spot I can see being a problem is 2fort's upstair deck, and quite frankly, that brings out the worst in nearly every item anyway.
I also like that they didn't resort to a damage nerf. First, that's borderline overused, and second, it raises the risk of self-harm by itself.
Some of these stats really give me the idea these were playtested to hell and back. The pyro getting to deal knockback is pretty clever, I never considered it being a possibility.
What do you guys think?
That page monitor lags sometimes and tells that all pages have been updated
Why does it toy with my heart like that? Is that a feature?
After a year of waiting on Valve, the Dumpster Device better not have a single Valve-created visual bug.
I wonder if they'll split the Sniper hat and glasses into a hat and misc.
I think they will. Every other set there has exactly one misc and one hat
I kinda hope they do, or at least make the glasses available without the hat. I'd love to wear those with my loadout.
i think that the scout set disadvantage is a little steep :/ you should lose your boost on the second jump, not the first. that would make it better, or even make it say "lose boost on your last jump" so you can still have two jumps if you use the atomizer

You can guarantee at least three.

In all honesty the Pyro knockback seems pretty darn useless since you already have a very effective, easy to use compression blast. I suppose you could knock people back from a range but who here has honestly ever thought, "wow, I wish this guy I'm trying to attack would get even farther away!" as Pyro?
You know what would be nice? If there were three styles: glasses, hat, and glasses + hat.
They really should have done that with the heavy's cop getup last summer.
e: guy above me:
I think it could be useful for wrangling people. Think of a soldier standing outside of barnblitz, firing wildly at your team's defense. Not only could you set him off balance, a skilled player could knock him into harms way.
It's the sort of thinking a pyro should use, but now you don't have to rely on your flamethrower to do it.
Sniper now has two sets directly based on movies, both made by SVDL

If I can stop jumping soldiers/demomen this thing will be awesome
I like movies.

What's the other one?

In first person mode the launcher will be positioned entirely the wrong way and clip through the soldiers shoulder, attempting to reload will cause it to spin wildly.
A year or so later the bug will be fixed.
But the loch-n-load will remain still broken.
Anyone think there is a chance of more things being added today?
What's the other one?
Lawrence of Australia.
I was just re-watching the old Meet The videos and I was thinking how it was funny that they reverted the format of the videos.
By this, I'm talking about how Meet the Sniper, Demoman, Heavy, Scout, Soldier, and Engineer are all in interview-style/individual-based videos,
while Medic, Spy, and probably Pyro are all like these general situations which show off the distinguishing features of their respective classes, while focusing on their character, obviously.
Actually, I'm not too impressed with the pocket pistol. Not taking falling damage is a nice idea, but I feel like the milkman set alone proves that a little health goes a bit too far with the scout.
Oh well, that's the optimism of speculating, I guess! If it sounds bad, you can hope that it's something you gotta see in action to get.

grats on the set dude
I like movies.
You've made more Sniper specific items then Valve themselves.
Valve: 7
- Huntsman
- Jarate
- Razorback
- Machina
- Trophy Belt
- Yellow Belt
- Panama
SVDL: 8 (assuming they split the glasses and hat)
- Bazaar Bargain
- Shanana
- Marauder
- Worst Nightmare
- Carbine
- Heatmaker
- New Set Hat
- New Glasses
I like movies.
Fantastic job on the sniper set. Congrats!

A little health doesn't help when the Pyro can murder you in half a second
next few years will be
Re-meet the cast videos
A little health doesn't help when the Pyro can murder you in half a second
A good scout can heckle the hell out of a Pyro though.
Lawrence of Australia.
Woah, what does that make the Bloke's Bucket Hat? I always thought that had Hunter S. Thomson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas written all over it. Compare the Sniper with the guy on the cover, it's pretty close!
Edit: Well maybe it's been a while, but the hats look pretty close... Without all the fishing baits and stuff. I'll admit it, it's a different hat altogether.
But I even described mine as "Fear and loathing in the northern territories." I would post pictures, but that would derail the thread sorta.
That sniper hat I am getting as soon as possible.
But first, to re-acquire a bills.

Good point!
Dang, I feel really good about this.
