I think if a scout has double the speed that the user will have to think of a strategy faster then the character moves, meaning if your running ud hit a wall before knowing to make a turn.
Secondly i think the speed of x2 can outrun a sentrys movement, if your running straight away from it.

I don't know why people care so much. If you were the one to find a diary, You would be happy at the price. The TF2 community is filled with sharks, sheep, and foxes who can't reach the grapes.

I can see the point if there was any evidence to them being worth anything, but Valve even led the event saying, summed up, that most of these items are worthless diversions.
