The problem with figuring out new primaries for the classes is simply "What would said class use for their main weapon?" I mean, look at the Huntsman. It's a bow and arrow, something a marksman would probably use. Now think of the Pyro.

I was actually thinking about that and you're right, that would be hard. Suspension of disbelief is a difficult line to walk. I think its hardly impossible though. If you come at it from the angle of "I need to set those people on fire, how can I do it effectively with something held in my hands." Than perhaps you could give the pyro a weapon that shoots fire at specific places from a larger distance, perhaps at the cost of making him more squishy. Or maybe instead of lighting enemies on fire he can be given a weapon that allows him to set the ground and walls on fire, turning him into an area denial class.
Edit: Oh piss, the blog updated while I was typing this. So much for this discussion. (If it manages to continue I'll be happy though.)
