Is the Pyro advertising his Meet The vid?
Edit: Well maybe I should read the other posts first, because this is not the case. Or is it?
the mph is clickable, though it only takes you to movies.
The mph just overlaps with the Pyro picture
IT'S MORSE CODE

That would actually be really clever... and a huge tease.
Yeah sure, add a weapon that lights walls on fire and then everyone and their mothers uses it when it's released.
Maybe he's saying something along these lines:
Hello Everyone, I see you solved my riddle. Great Job! My movie is coming soon! Unless, I burn the copies first!

Nice Camera Choreography.
I was actually thinking about that and you're right, that would be hard. Suspension of disbelief is a difficult line to walk. I think its hardly impossible though. If you come at it from the angle of "I need to set those people on fire, how can I do it effectively with something held in my hands." Than perhaps you could give the pyro a weapon that shoots fire at specific places from a larger distance, perhaps at the cost of making him more squishy. Or maybe instead of lighting enemies on fire he can be given a weapon that allows him to set the ground and walls on fire, turning him into an area denial class.
Edit: Oh piss, the blog updated while I was typing this. So much for this discussion. (If it manages to continue I'll be happy though.)
Hrm, well, those are good ideas, although 'shoot fire at specific places from a larger distance' sounds like what the Flaregun is supposed to do. As for the area of denial, the problem with that is that it's less fun and more tedious, turning the game into a 'sit around and wait' simulator like the CnD does. While a weapon that can place, say, oil or gas on a surface or character seems like a fun idea to use, it has plenty of balancing issues.
