Well this isn't like their past ARG's so far. The medic set changing the descriptions, the png puzzle, and the blog post are all seemingly separate and not really very challenging. Even the png puzzle wasn't hard or difficult to figure out, it just took a while because it required cooperation.

I have a hard time believing that anything so obvious would be overlooked by Valve, especially after some of the really crazy tangents the ARG-solvers went on last time. "Hey, a possible reference to (some person's dog's collar's phone number), let's all call it!"*

I would imagine they would make the intended solutions obvious with little room for alternate interpretations. The QR codes made it obvious where they went; even the codes were quickly identified as being an encoded graphic, and from there it was pretty much all gravy.

* Yes, this really happened. Back then a few of us had to tell people to knock it off because annoying an innocent bystander was wrong on so many levels...

I had a friend pull out the font and do a match with pictures and stuff to prove to me it was an 8, rather than a 5.

But the update hit at 1500 exactly. ;)
