Major Update Speculation Thread V4: Tonight's the Night For QR Codes - Games

So what I learned from the code: TICKETS (you may have to use a ticket to play MvM? They check for it when you're playing.) BADGES(that count wins) LOBBIES ITEM DROPS FROM "LOOT LISTS" (probably robot parts that you blew up)

Badge Slot? Challenge Tickets? Tokens? I think we're living the last days of our current item drop system.

What is an MvM badge?

The only loot lists that are sent to clients are crates (so the tf2 client knows what comes out of the crate), but they don't include drop chances.

Well, you're about 30 minutes too late to stop the disappointment train, but MvM being confirmed ought to make a lot of folks feel a little more comfortable that valve isn't just completely fucking with us at this point.

Like Ned said, they were most likely minimizing on the amount of coding (or whatever) when the update actually comes out.

I got a lot of "dumb" votes , but I was being serious about the tickets - what if they are Valve's attempt to introduce a new currency? Buy a book of 10 tickets for $2.50 , spending a ticket when playing a MvM match gives you a chance at rare loot drops (poor and Irish get razorbacks)- ticket books can be broken up and the tickets traded individually.

Also, Valve only sells items affecting gameplay if they can also be earned in game.

Ned, do you think you can make a set out of the Medic's three "Surgeon's" items? If not, maybe there's someone at valve I could email about it? They'd make a great set, and I adore cosmetic set bonuses.
