Just sleep through the weekend if you have nothing to do.
Come on people, we aren't getting anything until Monday. Get off facepunch. Go outside- it's summer.
Dude, it's 2 in the morning... you want to get me raped or something?
Monday is going to be far far worse. Especially monday afternoon.
So, with some of Valves mishaps, such as half of the new items not having craft numbers, crit glows, etc, would you all attribute this to the TF2 team being lazy/rushed, or being tired of working on TF2 just out of curiosity?

What if they were so busy with this update, they just rushed all the weekly updates to have something for us while they worked on their really big project?
Rate me rainbows
For those of you who have Adult Swim on your cable T.V.s, I say we watch and tune in on Sunday night...er, Monday at 12 Midnight...Pyro translated to Monday, and Adult Swim said Valve and them are working on something.
Clocks are welcomed.
Also, is it just me, or am I going to see a lot of Meet the Team based taunts? I'd love to see one based on Meet the Scout where he flexes his arm and stares at it for a few seconds or one where the Spy plays with his knife by twirling it around.

OH GOD
you just reminded me 80% of the new melees will just not glow, even if they did when submitted

I'd like to see more kill taunts if you ask me.
Hell, it sounds OP as hell, but I'd like to see a kill taunt like SMNC's grapple kills.

Wow, they're already exist a Flyswatter Reskin for the Disiplinary Action? I couldn't find any, and this video dates back to 2011 so it has to have existed for a while. Unless it was made entirely for the purpose of this video and than forgotten.

Ned is now in cardiac arrest
Something that bothers me about TF2 is how Valve always comes up with cool ideas like Action Item Slot Taunts, Strange Parts, Sound Devices, etc, but implements them in the laziest way possible despite all the money TF2 makes. For instance, I recall reading here in my lurker days that the Schadenfreude taunt is just old voice clips Valve never used, the HiFive taunt is just an old, unused animation, and Strange Parts like Soldiers/Demomen killed are obviously just reused code from the War update. Valve has limitless potential to come up with original ideas, but all they do with their cool ideas is just execute them in the laziest way possible with as many reused assets as possible.

All three of those examples made no sense!

The demo should get the salute from Meet the Demo as his default taunt for the sticky launcher and the non-sword melees should all get the Caber's taunt (except maybe for the bottles)
All three of those examples made no sense!
Valve didn't use original voice clips for the Schadenfreude taunt, the Soliders/Demos killed Strange part is probably Valve just reusing some of the code that kept track of how many Demos and Soliders were killed during the War update, and the HiFive taunt Valve released is just some old animation Valve had in the game since one of the older updates. Is this better, or am I still being confusing?

It was an unused animation, and the bit about Demo/Soldiers killed makes no sense. I'm sure they used similar code but I don't see how that's a problem at all.

It's not that I care about them reusing or repackaging assets, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wish Valve would also try to use newer ideas for their items instead of working around old, spare assets in the game to the extent that they do. The Meet the Medic taunt is a great example of what I want to see more of.

Also make them fix paint on the Skull and Juju.
It's been more than a year and a half since they said they did it.
I think they forgot about it.

I think the Soldier and Demoman killed strange parts were just small references to WAR! update which is kinda neat like them saying that they have forgotten those times, the WAR! update was quite big. And the rest of the Strange Parts use unique different kills stats.
Scadenfreude is just awesome, at least they took the time took make great animations for them as well, along with the High Five taunt I'm glad they implemented them, rather then leaving them to rot deep in the coding of TF2.
So i know this has probably been asked a million times, but do those Dota 2 tournament players from last year even play TF2, and if not, have they been told they won hats that nobody has seen in-game ever?
So we all noticed that Google birthday page thing right?
Out of curiosity, I decided to check who it was:
'Alan Mathison Turing, OBE, FRS ( /ˈtjʊərɪŋ/ tewr-ing; 23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954), was a British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst and computer scientist. He was highly influential in the development of computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of "algorithm" and "computation" with the Turing machine, which played a significant role in the creation of the modern computer. Turing is widely considered to be the father of computer science and artificial intelligence.'
Pretty cool if they intentionally planned the update with all the robot stuff so closely to the birthday of the above gentleman.
Also blah blah he's a british mathmatician, blah blah sherlock holmes, blah blah Soho, Rainbows, excetera excetera.
and blah blah clocks if I am late

Wouldn't it make sense to reuse sound files that aren't heard often for Schadenfreude? Sure makes more sense then asking an actor to record a whole new laugh (Pyro's voice actor was probably already in house for Meet the Medic.) The Hi-five taunts, as far as I know, were tests used for Portal 2's high five system, and after the Laugh taunt was implemented, the community requested they be used. Hell, they redid most of the animations for that. The Spy used to do the splits, but they recorded new lines for him. And why are you saying valve is lazy with strange parts with only 2/14 strange parts? That doesn't sound like they were limited to me.

he is a ghost
god I mean
there's a hatless pyro in the game already
he's a ghost
come on scrubs step it up
I guess I got carried away with calling Valve lazy. They aren't lazy, but with the upcoming update I hope to see original material like the Meet the Medic taunt, the other strange parts, etc, and see them use more of their other ideas like Sound Devices and elaborate upon them. Sorry for the confusion, I just poorly explained my point.
