Ran into some old Complexity guys when the Spy vs Sniper update came out, was funny seeing them trying to play spy (lol fail)
Fragga apprently joined my server but I was doubtful it was him.
Also I've played with Div 4/3 people in mixes and such, but no amazing Div 1 players.
All the competitive players I know are absolute arrogant pricks. I have a friend who invited heaps of his friend to a pug just to show how much better he was than everyone, and said he was the only good player allowed in the server.
No. Hell, he even uses hacks. Competitive player =/= griefer
But he's a nice guy :saddowns:
anyways no i have not, i would like to see a competitive soldier.
Yes, considering I often play pickups :D
By the way, Carnage is a top scout, but certainly not #1's. Unless you're only talking about US
In case you don't know who Carnage is, he's the #1 competitive scout in the world.?
Oh no, you've gotten it completely wrong. Bybben is way better

And I play with competitive players every day, in gathers
I play TF2 competitively, not at an amazing level but we go to LAN's and stuff, met a lot of the top European players, they are all pretty cool :D
Also people saying all the competitive players that they've seen are dicks, well welcome to comp TF2 unfortunately :p

A game stops being a game when the fun is sapped out of it and replaced by rage.
FUCK YEAH YOU CAME ON MY HOTEL BITCH, COMMUNITY CHEST WON'T SAVE YOUR FUCKING ASS NOW NOOB!
Constantly, I am a competitive medic, I am also training as a competitive demoman. Unfortunately things have been very passive during the past few weeks, but generally yes.
I also managed to play a game with Jaeger once.
I occasionally play pickups, met some moderately skilled players.
I used to hang with a lot of top level comp players, to say the truth they are very nice, never get it why people think they are all pricks. Some are but rest are nice if your nice to them. I have seen people dominate a competitive player and then act big and try to rub it in, of course that provokes anger, especially if your not even trying.
5, on the same server. They would bitch as my team won nearly every round. but they airshot me and actually stopped me from running away with airblast in an open field.
Yeah, a demoman. We were the only two on a badlands server.
Apparently he just wasn't used to fighting heavies, because I absolutely thrashed him :iiam:
Competitive players are not always good.
Competitive player (to me) means a player who's stuck on a static playstyle.

This is also true. Sure they get really skilled with one playstyle, but to me the fun of tf2 has always been switching around among all the different classes (and sub-classes, via unlockables). I rarely stay with the same class for more than fifteen minutes, and I change my loadout almost constantly.

Well, it depends if the player is "competitive" or really competitive. Some players may think they're competitive if they're playing in a "clan" or something. "Real" competitive players however, maybe you haven't seen a real one, are protean. But of course they have an individual playstyle, like we all have.

I see your point, but everything depends on what you find is fun. They think it's fun to be very good at one class or two but maybe someone other is interested in playing multiple classes. It's about opinions.

wow they must have been really hardcore
I've met lots of TF2 wankstas, and well, I didn't like any of them because they don't have a sense of humor.
And most of them go "UMAD?" when I get dominated by any of them.
60% of the people who play tf2.
:crossarms:
Conservative estimate.
Met magixz once,he was a sniper on the other team, and I was a medic.
No one on my team realized that I can't even get out of the spawn because of him (Badwater).
Ragequit soon after
piranhamatt2 is a good player probably could beat you all easily..
i wonder where he is nowadays

:colbert:
I have before, at least I think.
I joined some server and an insanely skilled Demoman gave me a lot of trouble. I was gonna stick around and play but the server crashed.
I played with conebone a serious comp player who knows how to have fun. He was pretty good with sniper.
Yes.
BornToPimp or BTP.
he played in a pro league as a sniper, when he joined my clan's server he just seemed like an average sniper, but after being dominated by me and another dude, he started doing quickshots faster than anything i've ever seen, he got revenge on both of us and dominated 7 of 12 people (me not being one, playing spy and avoiding him was all i could do)

That man knows how to live it up.

I once joined an almost empty 2fort server when 2 Soldiers were there on the other team. They claimed to be league gamers in their mics, and they were in the top 10 for the server via that stat mod. I went Pyro and they were insanely predictable. I was able to do close range rocket reflects almost 100% of the time. They got angry, so I went Spy and disguised as myself as Pyro with Dead Ringer. They "kill" me, and I then proceeded to backstab them.
For clarification, only one was a douchebag, but the other was kinda cool, complimenting my kills.
The only competitive players I've met ingame are the ones I'm playing with in the tournament.
Daimao, Lakister, Royzo, etc
Hard to play against.
Other than that I feel like other people from Facepunch (well-known TF2 players on Facepunch) are pretty hard except BlackWind's hacking (he got VAC banned after denying so, and a friend got him a new account. :sigh: (yes with the orange box and shit)) but other people all over are just easy bastards to play against.
If I'm tired or shivering to hell I find it hard to play.
No big name competitive players, but some really amazing pubstars who play a lot of scrims. There's a demoman on my server who visits regularly. Whatever team he's on, I usually switch to, because he tends to pair up with a butt buddy medic and together, they're unstoppable.
I played with Sean C, creator of Egypt, if that counts. He's a pretty kickass scout.
There's no best player, only opinions on the best player.
Most of these people are pretty awesome, they've obviously played the game a lot and figured out how everything works.
The only thing that annoys me is when people post on forums about how they get 100% hits, etc. They are playing on a pub server and they are obviously going to be dominating, most public servers have the worst of the worst.
Watch some full replays of them in a decent competitive game and you'll see a completely different story.
