Oh hey, want to see outlines? Turn off Anti-Aliasing. (And restart TF2 if needed)
How could Valve have missed this. :psyduck:

Nope. Definitely not worth it, then.

They use windows 3.1? :v:
I still can't see the outline.
ATI 5850.
I'm using a custom HUD, custom skins for various weapons and Shugo's inventory icons.
They still didn't fix this? What the hell.

I'm not turning off anti-aliasing.
:colbert:
Sometimes I see 'em, sometimes I don't.

Not a game breaking one though.
Not a game breaking one though.
Oh, I guess that's OK then!!!
I have no AA because my GPU is shit but I can see all the glows
I forgot the DX level I use currently but my ATI Radeon HD 5450 is dx10 compatable.
Yeah, I actually asked on SPUF today, and turning off AA did bring them up, but...
I'm not about to lose out on graphical quality for the sake of a few outlines.
I mean, how did Valve miss this? Do they not use AA when playtesting?
Do they playtest?
Don't have AA on and I still don't see glows. Then again, I wonder whenever I turn the glow effect for carts on(Seeing as everytime I start up TF2 it's off) that I play payload that time.

It is pretty game breaking because demomen using the Scottish resistance can't see where their stickies are placed (and enemy ones around the corner and such).

You can only see your own scores stickies. That, and it does not work for normal sticky launcher iirc.
Just noticed this doesen't work for me either, and I'm using a 9800 GTX+.
Turning off AA in TF2's a no-go, it looks terrible without it.
Speaking of which, is it just me or does TF2 alias badly compared to other games?
Yeah, when i turn AA off outlines work, but i'm not sacrificing AA just for this. They really should fix it quickly because it pretty much breaks the scottish resistance.

What I don't get about the ScoRes outlines, is that I was able to see them perfectly when the update first came out.
And then a few updates later, I couldn't.
And the weird thing is that I was able to see them with my anti-aliasing on the maximum setting my nVidia card could allow.
Now I am using 8x - the highest for an ATI card.
Sadly I got too used to the ScoRes outlines (which were very useful), so I'm turning AA off again. I hope Valve fixes this with the Polycount update, but major updates are rather infamous for doing the opposite of fixing bugs.
I have AA off since my FPS is shit with it on, and I can see them fine
AA maxed and I've always been able to see them :geno:
Dear Valve
Please fix Payload cart outlines on some graphical settings/GPUs
-NuckChorris AKA PieOnEar
Aren't these supposed to be seen through walls? I have seen them my whole lifetime.

They are seen through ANYTHING that blocks your view of the cart
Really sorry for the necro-bump, but turning off antialiasing doesn't help. Does anyone know any fixes?
1. Put -dxlevel 90 in launch options
2. If that doesn't work, -autoexec, and -config in launch options
3. If that doesn't work, delete "tf" folder and then run tf2 and then verify our game.
4. If that doesn't work, defragment.
5. If that doesn't work, uninstall and then reinstall the game.
