I got a tyrants helm! And a lot of things. And I idled.
No hats as of yet, but plenty of items. I've only really seen a couple of hats being given out over the course of a few evenings, so I doubt it's conspiracy worthy.
In my 8.1 hours of play time since the purge I've gotten 4 items.
No hats.
Got an axtinguisher after 3 days of nothing and I didn't idle :(
Usually I play until I get an item, be it an 30mins or an hour. (Item = playing for too long)
But it took me almost 6 hours of playing, to get 1 item...
I got only 1 weapon since. A damn kritzercrieg or however you spell it. Also and idler
Must have slowed/ stopped it for idlers i got a stove hat and a few other items for a while now :D
I've actually gotten a good load of drops, including my first hat and all sniper weapons.
ANd I did idle.
I got a few weapons, and the Tyrant's Helm. I will post screens if anyone wants truth.

You consider 30 mins - 1 hour to be playing for too long? Or did I misread?
Eh, I had terrible luck before the update, one or two items over a few days of playing. Now I've gotten three items since the update.
I take it the game doesn't like me.

I found one item since the idling purge. It's probably just my bad luck, though.
