• Where's the Natascha Nerf?

Natasha can be annoying, but come on, you're painting the devil right here. Scouts and Pyros don't have a big chance against a Heavy unless they can utilize the terrain or have a moment of surprise or the Heavy is very slow to react/follow their attacks while they try to keep attacking him while moving around. Soldiers and Demomen rarely have problems with Heavies in my opinion, they got high damage output and the Demoman can do a combined sticky explosion for an insta-kill, too. They're only at a disadvantage when they're out of ammo or the heavy surprises them and they're fighting at close range. Hell, if they have enough HP they can even rocket/sticky-jump out of Natasha's range. I think I don't need to explain it for the Support classes. I agree tho that it can be really annoying for example as a Scout to be slowed down from across the map and then fall victim to the rest of the more mobile team. Natasha Heavies and Snipers actually can make a very effective team if they work together. If the slowdown-effect decreased over range, I think it would optimize the thing, but really, any weapon can annoy you in the game. Be it the Sniper who keeps headshotting you as a light class no matter what you do, the Pyro that airblasts you off cliffs, the Wrenches and Ubersaws that crit always you in the face, the Sentries that keep stalling the area, the stickytraps that you always forget to check for when somebody lays them, etc.
Boo Hoo :saddowns: Change your tactics.
Sasha is better in my opinion.
Sasha is better in my opinion.
For raw killing power Sasha is much much better. It takes a lot more shots to actually kill something with Natascha. But the slowdown effect does make the target much easier to handle for your team. When I use Natascha, it's usually on defense, and I rarely get a kill with it, mostly assists from teammates finishing off the target while they are slowed. That is the purpose of Natascha.
cry more OP.
Natascha doesn't need any nerf. [editline]17th October 2010[/editline] The Shovel needs a buff.
Doesn't the Shovel have one high chance of crits, compared to other melee weapons?
Doesn't the Shovel have one high chance of crits, compared to other melee weapons?
No, every original melee weapon is similar, but knife and bat do half the damage.
With the Natascha i usaully get many kills when im ubered, because it slows down the enemy enough to where the reduced damage dosent matter, and you can just wail bullets all on them due to them slowing down. So both Mini-Guns are pretty efficient.
this game sucks because of unlocks stop using your wall of valve fanboy erections to try and say otherwise
The most nerfing it should get is to reduce the speed reduction over distance, as it's more annoying then anything else to get slowed down stupidly by a rouge natascha bullet from half way across the map.
^
this game sucks because of unlocks stop using your wall of valve fanboy erections to try and say otherwise
I sense a massive case of "only my opinion can be correct".
^
Use the Agree rating dangit, that's what it was made for.
^
Self agree? How patetic of you
Why does it even need one at the moment?
its a complete upgrade weapons in TF2 are supposed to have their ups and downs; a new item should make you think if it's best to use it now or wait for a better situation aka kritzkreig
No, every original melee weapon is similar, but knife and bat do half the damage.
But I feel like I get more Crits with my Shovel then with let's say the Axe. I know the Bat has a higher chance of crits, because of the reduced damage, as some kind of "balance".
Self agree? How patetic of you
wheres bad spelling when you need it agrhhh edit:fuck my automerge
OnTopic: Actually ,with natasha i take more time to kill someone, but at least i have literally a 100% chanche of killing that one. Or at least to get him killed by someone
To me the heavy should be feared like a tank (a literal tank, like a fucking war machine). A single enemy rushing head on is going to get slaughtered. The enemy team needs to work together to properly take down a tank, or individual people need to gain advantage though other methods. It doesn't need a nerf to be honest.

-snip didn't realise he was talking about equalizer i'm :downs:-
youll never switch to melee at 100% hp it can be used for escaping and chasing slower classes; there is honestly no reason at all to use the regular shovel
Remove the speed slowdown and offer the gun something useful and fun.
Well, actually the slowdown is useful, is just too powerful, as Robin Walker said into an interview. The biggest probles is that it literally "lagport" you back into the enemy crosshair.
But I feel like I get more Crits with my Shovel then with let's say the Axe. I know the Bat has a higher chance of crits, because of the reduced damage, as some kind of "balance".
Well, the crit chance does grow as you make more damage to enemies. So, if you are damn good soldier/scout, but piss poor pyro, then you obviously crit more often with their melee weapons. And the Bat has same crit chance. it is balanced by doubling the speed of it.
Other than the slowdown being constant over range the weapon is fine. Scaling the slowdown with the damage dealt would be a good way to do it as Minigun bullets are near useless at longer ranges.
I think it needs to scale its slowdown based on the class. Just so that a slowed Soldier won't go at the same speed as a slowed Scout.

Natascha just gives the heavy more counters and makes him easier to play (tracking is way easier with slowdown.) The advantages you can get against Sasha (use of cover, corners, being evasive) don't work against Natascha because you just can't move when under fire from it. You're forced to stay and fight and it's a fight only a Sasha heavy can win because no other class has the health or damage output that will best a Natascha heavy.

It's got all the upsides of Sasha, removes several tactics that you can use to counter the Heavy without implementing new ones and in general is ridiculously unfun to play against.
Natascha is fine. shovel needs a buff
Would you happen to be part of a competitive community OP? I ask this because you're begging to nerf a weapon that's balanced.
You honestly can't tell me that you missed this during the Mann Co update.
While equipping Natascha, Heavies will now explode every 10 seconds.
