Really, back in the day i used to get 20 trades in a server for people lowballing me for my Earbuds, it made me laugh instead of making me pissed. At the very least you could have given him the spreadsheet URL for basic prices for almost all the items. I also love how you tried to take advantage over him, since you realized he didn't know prices, you asked if he had earbuds. If he had a pair of earbuds, you would have completely scammed them from him. You got your head screwed on backwards, mate.

Does anyone else go out of their way to be nice to all their trading partners? Sometimes it seems like its just me. I mean if I get an absolutely godawful offer on anything Ill still be sure to apologise because Im not interested.

I strive to me the most polite even when they are lowballing hard. I'll tell them no, thank, or something of that sorts. And when in trade, I say thank you enough times I can say without sounding strange. It's always good to be polite. Unless they don't speak english. Google translate, away!
