I think more the guy getting his birds eaten/killed should really mention it to the neighbour. or mention antifreeze just to spook them into keeping an eye on their pets.

I think the best karma situation to come out of stuff like this was a fucking krane. eating very. very expensive koi fish. back when i had a large outdoor pond. even with fish netting up it'd get in.

so i changed the fish netting one day to much stronger stuff. [ the krane had took about £600/500's worth of fish by now. ] so yeah. changed the netting.

next day i come out to find the krane had been at the fish. but got it's head stuck. with the water level at it's face.

and drowned.
