It took me approximately 4 years to actually finish one of the first 2 Doom games. It confused me for so long when I started playing it, then I gave up until a while ago.

I started on this old lappy once more when I was brought along on this business trip to the Gold Coast, got to a particular level, collected an item before the game told me to resulting in me being told to get something that no longer existed. Gave up after that since it meant I'd have to start over from the very beginning of the level as I forgot to save.

I personally hate quake 2 so much I couldn't bother to get past the first level however i like quake 1 but couldn't bother to continue on the next "episode". One thing is for sure i sometimes play valve's deathmatch classic if only it wasn't always run by bots I am always on top the scoreboard.
