I made some old mans day at work. He was walking past and asked me how to get inside. I just took him through our warehouse area because its faster. He thanked me and went to find where the briefcases were. Turns out, we didnt have any. I offered to run out the back and look for him but didnt have any. Told him, and he said I had no reason to apologise. I offered to carry the bag he chose to the counter and he grabbed me around the waist, telling everyone how nice I was being and that I was "manager material". He did this to our boss. I saw him later walking to his car and we had a conversation about how his knee has to be taken out and replaced with a fake one. Then he thanked me for helping, and said that I was one of the few nice people in the world today. Im not even being paid to work there. But hell it was worth it to make this guy happy, he seemed so nice.

I dunno what to do. The boss is happy with me, I could ask if they would put me on at the end. But, I do have an extremely good opportunity with the Trainee Guard.
