I'm counting the shields as melee related unlocks as well, since they remove an explosive weapon and encourages the use of melee weapons.

Just stop making swords and shields, it's the least of things Demoman needs.
We have enough demoknight sets as it is, I'm tired of not getting any other playstyles than swordfighting for the Demolition class.

I use the shield because the fire and explosion damage is great and it's a good escape method. Also, targe+bottle kills are too wonderful.
Indeed. I think that Demoman is the class that had his name practically desconstructed by all this melee style battles. Not that I don't like the weapons or the Demoknights, but he has from all his weapons, from 23, and removing the sticky jumper that makes no damage but leveing the all classes and melees, 4 are explosion related (with just 1 melee, the Caber). It makes a total of 5 directly class related weapons off all 23!
But I don't think that melee weapons should really count as a class related weapon. They are as much cool been a scrumpy bottle as much as been a sword. Like heavy having his fists or boxing gloves, it's not directly related but works. They're just like the hats, stylish. ^^
What I really think is that all the characters need another weapon style with new animations instead of a thousand of weapons that work alike (like every class primary weapon). not suggesting a new slot, or adding back grenades for everyone, just make new weapons that could be primary, secondary, or even melee that works diferently from the ones that already exist.
It would be interesting to have a Heavy using something that's not necessaryly a minigun, or a Pyro with something that's not a flamethrower.
(aint I the one that just made a flamethrower concept?...)

The Flamethrower has a lot of contrast between thin and bulky, and is almost solely built of cylinders, straight lines and slight downward angles.
The Degreaser has a smooth, subtly curved overall shape, has a quite uniform thickness all the way, and is built of curves and more uneven shapes.
The Phlogistinator has a completely straight, bulky body with a remarkably small tank that is angled downwards at an angle of approximately 45 degrees.

It'll be mostly brown, trying to stick with the original colors of the actual M1 garand. By cannon, I'm assuming you mean barrel, yeah it's from an old version of the model I forgot to change (was trying to make the barrel visible in first person, failed, decided fuck it, it'd look good enough)
