Came to post the base colors for the Garand Eeshton made. But base color shots are so boring, right? WELL NOT IN 3D. [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7578622/m1/progress002_3d.PNG[/img]
Hey, quick question, has anyone ever made a Spore Launcher replacement for the Soldier's Rocket Launcher? I'm talking about the one from Opposing Force. Short video of what I'm talking about, towards the end. [video=youtube;J06tqrJt6pE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J06tqrJt6pE[/video]
[QUOTE=NapyDaWise;35677346]Thanks :D Should be fixed now, redownload it[/QUOTE] the defibrillator was rather awkwardly held when i installed the skin.

[QUOTE=Jalcober;35677761]Yeah this is a problem [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/Ui72X.jpg[/IMG] Smoothing groups also seem to be broken.[/QUOTE] Oh yeah i know why. I replaced the solemn vow, it's using the wrong anims. brb making a ubersaw replacement Edit : done
[QUOTE=Jalcober;35677761]Yeah this is a problem [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/Ui72X.jpg[/IMG] Smoothing groups also seem to be broken.[/QUOTE] oh wow wat. looks like it's using an LOD instead. also if someone can name/give me every reference in the enlightenment pack models, I'll give them something special. maybe like a vintage train cap or something, I dunno.
[QUOTE=Pie_Tony;35677819]oh wow wat. looks like it's using an LOD instead. also if someone can name/give me every reference in the enlightenment pack models, I'll give them something special.[/QUOTE] the A-118 is a Noise and Random Voltage Generator as seen in here: [url]http://www.doepfer.de/a118.htm[/url] If I am not mistaken, reanimator is a film: [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Re-Animator[/url] Also,I think Eletroalgesic is the Eletrostimulation with anagelsic Properties(no links this time, just from my common knowledge) I know what the devius devices are,but explainign them take some time,so I will just copy pasta a text: Big D, little d, what begins with D? Devious devices from the DeMoulin factory. For more than 85 years DeMoulin Bros. & Co. has produced some of the country’s finest band uniforms. But there was a time when the DeMoulin name was synonymous with guillotines, paddle machines, exploding telephones, electric chairs, branding irons, and goats. Devilish devices for certain, but none of them lethal. Rather, most of them were made to get a laugh. During the first half of the twentieth century, lodge regalia and paraphernalia–including initiation devices–were DeMoulin Bros. & Co.’s stock-in-trade. The company crafted forerunners of the magicians’ cabinet; seemingly innocuous appliances or pieces of furniture that secretly housed explosive cartridges, electric charges, powder blasts and spring loaded slaps to the seat of the pants. Courtesy the invention and industry of DeMoulin Bros. & Co., lodge initiates nationwide were subjected to all manner of momentary indignities before being accepted into the brotherhood of organizations like the Modern Woodmen of America or Independent Order of Odd Fellows. In a pre-TV era when physical humor was hot and Vaudeville all the rage, products from DeMoulin Bros. & Co. were in high demand. But interest waned as the nation turned its attention to World War II, and in 1955, DeMoulin Bros. & Co. shuttered its longstanding lodge paraphernalia division. Today, the devices are largely gone–but not forgotten. You can view an impressive collection at the DeMoulin Museum, in the factory’s hometown of Greenville, Illinois. Museum curator John Goldsmith presents a representative sampling of DeMoulin products, including a trick guillotine, branding iron, electric gauntlet, and bucking goats and band uniforms, as well as period photos and personal effects that chronicle the history of the company and the men and women who built it. From the scorch marks of spent cartridges to the elegant lettering of labels, over a hundred years of story stand behind these walls. It’s food for the imagination. Visit if you can. You can find more on the DeMoulin Museum at [url]http://www.demoulinmuseum.org[/url] However I have no idea on the Megalomaniac one, since it could be related to lots of films where the villains are Megalomaniac Genuises.
All of that stuff plus Dr. Steel yay I win
[QUOTE=NekuMisage;35677918]All interesting stuff and whatnot.[/QUOTE] Nope sorry, the Devious Devices is the only one without a reference I should point out. I meant physically on the textures, with the only exception being the megalomaniac which is based off of a certain musician. which is my hint, nearly all are music references. [editline]23rd April 2012[/editline] Also the names aren't counted as references, they were more heat of the moment names.
[img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20211663/steam%20workshop/Mod%20medic/full.png[/img] Everything should work now.

(on the prototype)
[QUOTE=NapyDaWise;35678074][img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20211663/steam%20workshop/Mod%20medic/full.png[/img] Everything should work now.[/QUOTE] This is by far my favourite group of mods on the workshop, and if it makes it in-game, I will almost definitely buy it (depends on my finances at the time). Please continue making excellent mods, and I would like to let you know that this pack is what inspired me to start modelling a few weeks ago. [B]Edit:[/B] Woops, forgot to mention Pie_Tony, great work on the set as well.
[QUOTE=Petachepas;35671415]I dunno... In my opinion Pyro looks cute as a little firebug =3 [IMG]http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/1516/grinmask5.png[/IMG] Notice that every texture I show is just conceptual I want to combine it with the halloween stuff, and other hats and miscs, but double misc doesn´t work on itemtest. I still need to know where the register is, and how to change it in order to load multiple items in HLMV[/QUOTE] well its a cool item but it looks pretty similiar to [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=6449"]this[/URL]. [IMG]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/649877898940501460/E239209AD4F65D5ABF6E90231D32739B5F77849A/600x337.resizedimage[/IMG] (is there a way to edit the picture here to make it smaller?)
it doesn't really look much like that at all
[QUOTE=Rexic;35678754]well its a cool item but it looks pretty similiar to [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=6449"]this[/URL]. [QUOTE=Constructor;35673316][IMG]http://i.imgur.com/uXbfr.png[/IMG] Sorry, neodement :v:[/QUOTE] I'm actually way more proud of the boot than the pegleg, so it's all good, those would be fantastic styles... I wonder if I can get Valve on board with that.
[QUOTE=lemonade1950;35678919]Use thumb tags instead of img tags[/QUOTE] how do i use thumb tags? I just copied the image url and put into the insert image.
It would be pretty cool with the Headtaker and Horsemann's Head (the double boot one)
[QUOTE=ned_ballad;35678795]it doesn't really look much like that at all[/QUOTE] [IMG]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/113/e/5/comparision_by_scythewielder13-d4xdau1.png[/IMG] ALSO. What kind of pyro item would the name Fullmetal (or possibly Half Metal) Arsonist fit with? Cause I thought of that name randomly a few minutes ago. and gloves as a flare gun replacement. Like how roy mustang shoots fireballs.
one is a executioner's mask with a painted smile the other is a gasmask with a smile painted on the smile's style was not invented by VLEK. If you remove the similar smiles, they're totally different items.
[QUOTE=Rexic;35679117][IMG]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/113/e/5/comparision_by_scythewielder13-d4xdau1.png[/IMG][/QUOTE] Yea you're right, it's nothing close. One's awesome as hell and looks great. The other is rather "meh" executioners hood with brushstrokes out the wazoo.
[QUOTE=Rexic;35679056]how do i use thumb tags? I just copied the image url and put into the insert image.[/QUOTE] Do that, except replace [noparse][img][/img] with [thumb][/thumb][/noparse]
[QUOTE=Rexic;35679117][IMG]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/113/e/5/comparision_by_scythewielder13-d4xdau1.png[/IMG][/QUOTE] Both items are based off different things, the first one is an executioner's mask with a typical horror grin. The second one is a mask based off aviator stuff (i think?correct me if i'm wrong, mister creator) EDIT: GODDAMMIT NED Edit 2: Worst pageking
[QUOTE=Svdl;35674167]A bit yeah, fixed that up. It's still not the exact same tone or it ends up looking way too bright most of the time, especially with the shirt being a darker color down there. [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1881786][img]http://i.imgur.com/jkgUe.jpg[/img][/url] [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1881786]It's in the workshop now.[/url][/QUOTE] The seems betweern the misc and the main vest is really obvious, it that perhaps because your not using the same .vmt setting as a player model? also I think you should try and create a normal map for the item so that the seem blends in better. Also, you still working on that cool pyro set with the great primary and cloth mask and vest?
[QUOTE=Rexic;35679117] What kind of pyro item would the name Fullmetal (or possibly Half Metal) Arsonist fit with?[/QUOTE] All I can think of is some sort of neo-victorian/dieselpunk flamethrower or ornate axe.
[QUOTE=Pfysicyst;35678083]The light and dark grey metals right beneath the battery are clipping with each other, and to a lesser degree, medic's hand and the grip. (on the prototype)[/QUOTE] Just making sure you know, that clipping I talk about with the prototype is the gun clipping with itself. Its got that really distracting two-faces-really-close-together, constantly flashing dealy. Right below the battery in first person.
