Am I the only one who think the Scout, rather than being a narcissist, is actually overcompensating for a crippling minority complex? He's the youngest child in his family, he seems to be ignored and mocked regularly by the other team members, and a lot of his bragging feels.. Forced, somehow.
EDIT: Oh, pageking. Um, have this thing again.

Oh, and once again.. This item may seem realistic, gross and tasteless on paper, but you have to remember that the Soldiers wearing it in-game would do so while rocket jumping, banging themselves in the heads with shovels and shouting illogical war cries. IT's be less 'disturbing wartime footage' and more 'the Black Knight in the Holy Grail.'
I'd mark engineers "sickness" being less of those with maintaining the machines. much more how cold he seems about what his machines. and him do
He's a killer of men. by his own words. Who has no issues cutting his hand off in the name of science.
And if the Gazer is anything to go by. remove an eye too.

True, I worded myself wrongly... I can't find the proper word for it. Not sure if it's grumpy or ill tempered, but something like that. He's a stereotype of Scotsmen.
Yeah he's not really a violent alcoholic, but he is violent AND an alcoholic :v:

So maybe he is kind/supportive of his team, but doesn't always admit it.

Yeah, I realized that too after writing it.
This drawing does pretty well with explaining just how much is wrong with Engineer

I don't read that response in the sense he hates anyone helping him
much more in the "i can handle this without you taking the glory/kill from me"
i dunno maybe i'm just too much of a demo fan.

Yeah, probably due to being sober.

I still count most new cosmetic items and weapons as non-canon. I think of the Meet the Team videos and the characters voice lines as the canon for their personalities, since the characters were probably not created with most of the new things implemented as part of their design, although I still count most of the things from the official valve created updates.

I thought this could only go badly...
But actually it turned out he just wanted me to point him towards some tutorials, and he said he had a class mate who could use photoshop and stuff who would help.

There's hope!
At least he wasn't begging you for credit.

True, but I still like the scenario. Even though Medic despite being a doctor would probably never worry about anyone else's mental or physical health.

hecates conceptualized something comparable that to a chainsaw body, which upset me, but i modeled it nonetheless
before i "abandoned" the half mini vtwin engine idea, i went all out for it, and did this

see hecates it even has a gas tank :p
crits and comments are welcome
i think that big medigun needs a beefy backpack. broad wires.
look at my post again psyke
are you able to change the shape of a medigun tube?
I've often wondered why we haven't seen any sort of according style tubing, but maybe there's a technical reason?

the only thing i can think of is because it takes alot of polys depending on the base cylinder polycount, tbh, i think it would look good
Ah, darn. I was not aware of this. I thought it used one of the other kinds of gas canisters usually at gas stations.
The fire extinguisher on the degreaser is a completely different shape than yours, almost like a natural gas cylinder, so yours is fine.
Is putting a phongmask on a misc item unnecessary or a nice feat?
As these things are only noticeable from up close and such.
If Im wrong please correct me on that though.

If it's not using the alpha for something else and it's not all one material you should absolutely put a phong mask
