Also, watching little shop of horrors right now. No idea what was going in the maker of the play (frank oz? I know he did the movie, but was he involved in the play?)'s head when they thought it would be a good idea to make Audrey II look like a green space vagina. Good god this movie is weird.
Since attachment points are one of the basic parts of TF2 modding, could someone who's feeling kind help me out with them? What i'm doing isn't for TF2, but i figured this is a good place to ask since they seem like something you guys would have no issues with :v: If anyone feels nice enough to help me out, PM me or add me on steam.
I was browsing some World War II stuff yesterday and found something interesting: During World War II, Germany designed grenades designed to be fired from flare guns known as the Kampfpistole, or Sturmpistole.
[thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32066954/engineer_chaps.png[/thumb] Also fixed the Bazaar Bargain icon, the Bazaar Bargain's scope-glass is unsupported in HLMV, so I replaced it with another glass texture. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32066954/bazaar_new.png[/t]
Remember that pack you said you'd release a while ago? Did we ever get that yet
I apologize for ever trying to get people to make any of my ideas. During the downtime I decided to try learning how to model. It didn't go well. Ended with me in a deep depression lamenting my own stupidity.
Finally! Was emporium(or at least the tf2 part) down for everyone else too?
;35712528']Scouts got swanky hair...
More angles, please?
But yeah, they're definitely not all dumb. The Engineer and Medic are definitely intelligent, the Spy seems fairly clever too, the Demo and Scout are probably quite average and the Pyro is the Pyro.
I think the Spy is generally more snobby than intelligent. Combat Pistol? Storm Pistol? Pretty generic names if you ask me.
Combat Pistol? Storm Pistol? Pretty generic names if you ask me.
well it is supposed to be stock.lol
Combat Pistol? Storm Pistol? Pretty generic names if you ask me.
Sssssh, don't translate them the magic goes
Damn, german gun names are awesome.
Tank's etc. names too.
Combat Pistol? Storm Pistol? Pretty generic names if you ask me.
Actually, the most common translation for sturm is "assault" I believe. Fun fact: the word assault rifle comes from the German word "sturmgewehr". The whole weapon type was invented by the Nazis in the 40's. And it's not the meaning of the names that's cool, it's the way they sound. German is a badass-sounding language. Russian too.
Released.
this is a bit Strogg-esque.
Every german tank has a feline name. Even modern tanks around the world. All of them have little kitties´ names
Except the mightiest of them all, 188 ton Panzer VIII Maus (mouse) super-heavy tank. And of course the pre-prototype 1000 ton Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte (rat) and the more fittingly named 1500 ton Landkreuzer P. 1500 Monster super-heavy tanks, seen here compared to Maus and other heavy tanks. http://www.gamebanana.com/tf2/threads/182530 something me and a few friends are working on pretty much a lightwarp, player texture rework http://hawkshadow741.imgur.com/all/ some more screens on the original creator's imgur

In German, that literally translates to 'Scoop Wheel Excavator'. The Germans are really good at making terrifying things, then giving them ridiculously practical and generic names.

I wish there was a lightwarp that gives TF2 characters and weapons cartoony cel-shading akin to the Sly Raccoon games and LoZ: Wind Waker.
there is one.
there is one.
Where? edit: Too bad not one seems to have been released.
Anyone know why I'm getting this weird transparency error? I've tried every .vmt parameter I can think of and nothing is fixing it. It's supposed to look like the left half of the bottom one, but there's that weird seam where for some reason the texture becomes more opaque. It's not an alpha or normals problem, I checked.
Where?
Google it seriously, first results for me were correct ones. The gamebanana page of the mod is dead now though.
