i love how chrome doesn't support ajax without having to open it via other complexish methods
That's incredibly loose rational for the heavy native american set.
The Romans invaded Romania, and the term Czar comes from Caesar. Don't think of ancient rome, think of Byzantines and the Holy Roman Empire.
Wasn't the Holy Roman Empire located in the approximate area of what is now Germany? How does that motivate making a Russian a gladiator.
[SUB]Especially considering that the Russian guy is living in the 1900s...[/SUB]
Also, I said that I didn't feel like arguing, buuut I hate to let arguments against me go unanswered. Ugh.
Oh hey. Someone has a different opinion than you.
Mods don't need to be approved.
I have no problem understanding that a lot of people like the Minecraft style, even if I'm pretty neutral towards it. I find it absolutely baffling that people would enjoy the schizophrenic clash resulting from putting that style inside TF2.
When did I ever say that mods need to be approved? You said that mods don't need to fit the style, I said that a bunch of approved items prove that the same thing sadly applies to in-game stuff as well.
wat
The Grordbort weapons fit amazingly
They're retro sci-fi
Hell, that style of sci-fi is from around the same time period.
No.
Sci-fi from the 50s/60s tends to look like this. Simple, cheesy and endearingly silly-looking.
The Grordbort weapons are modern sci-fi weapons wrapped in a coat of art deco design (which, though is was around in the 50s/60s, was used for much more expensive and high-brow stuff than adventure movies), then sprinkled with a more than healthy dose of steampunk.
I'm not saying the Grordbord weapons look bad, mind you, I think some of them look pretty damn cool. They just don't fit into TF2. At all.
So, for the Minecraft Engineer Pack, people have been asking what happened to the back mounted furnace that was going to be part of the pack instead of the pickaxe, so...
for back-mounted Pickaxe
for back-mounted Furnace
for do the furnace thing, and incorporate the pickaxe somewhere else.

I couldn't help myself.
what does the world view of that look like on Engineer?
This is what i love about ned. He defends his rationale with information.
The fact that the roman-heavy seems to generate some mixed feelings makes me more motivated to work on it to see if i can meet the challenge of making it work for tf2.
Mind you it's not gonna be a straight-on roman set like what jzeeba and rada did. It's more on the gladiator side of things and not to mention if i can tie that in with the dragonborn helm for him as well. We'll see as we go.

I do use chrome. Chrome just won't let me download the mods here.

Sorry for giving you the wrong direction there with my items. Normally though, for weapons, i do think having a few more loops would help since it's visible on the first person view.
I do use chrome. Chrome just won't let me download the mods here.
yeah, if this place uses ajax for downloading, i can understand why it wont work, a certain version of chrome does not support file writing via this method therefore no downloading. if not, then maybe there is a error with one of chromes files on your end, but my friend uses chrome and gets the same issue here.

Some progress. Added an ammo-belt, redid the screen and added a satellite, mostly so you can tell an Engineer's using it from the front. Would be cool to have it rotate but I know nothing about animations.
Dream stats that would have the satellite make sense would be you regain metal slightly faster around dispensers.
Any idea why my team colours aren't working? In-game I get just the red skin on both teams. I've put the .vmts below and in hlmv it's the base without the specified tint.

You need to format the team colour line as:
$texturegroup skinfamilies
{
{ "original (red) texture" } // this is the name you set in your modelling program
{ "blue texture" }
}
