I'll try to get to work on the Pyro effects as soon as I can. I ran a little test the other day to see if I could get the wavy ring effect to look good and animated and all I have to do now is make it for the actual effect.

Was never released, and I can almost guarantee you that I'll never release it; due to how annoying it would be to get it working fully as a mod.

I think you could do it "cream spirit"-style like this oldie but goodie [URL="http://gamebanana.com/tf2/sprites/2502"]mod[/URL]. Sets it apart from the lazor/electric Grordbort weaponry as a heat-based weapon and looks fairly subtle to boot.
If possible, maybe team color the Manmelter shots as well? Perhaps the blasts could also be cream spirit-style colors with the "tail" fading to red and blue (currently they're yellow and fade to reddish orange), respectively.

I'm figuring it out. But I can't use any other colors than the team color values that the weapon itself is set to.
Basically the thing reads what the color value of the weapon is and then automatically colors the effect accordingly.

Isn't there a way to change that ourselves? I know it's coded somewhere but that "where" I can't find it.
I wanted to make Bison lasers and Pomson lasers different colors (Pomson being a yellow vs green) unless they are all coded to link all projectiles to one set of team colors...
(I might have made that up... someone should confirm me how the particle "paint" works in the files.)

It's coded to take the color from whatever paint you have on the item in question. As a matter of fact, there's a few simple unused unusual effects that actually do respond to paint color... Well, they don't work in game, but they're set up to use paint colors.
I kind of would like to see all these unused paint sensitive effects be used to their full potential though... It'd be awesome shooting people with invisible lasers from a black cow mangler.

Doesn't that majorly clip with taunt animations and menu animations? (iirc most minigun clip a little bit with the taunts/menu animations, but this looks like his whole hand would be inside of the case. )
