Hey Chao, thought about making particles for Bison and Pomson?
Not that there's really much wrong with 'em, they just look somewhat dull compared to the awesome new fx on the other Dr. G weapons.
Basically the Mangler is giving me trouble with the muzzle flash rings and the Bison and Pomson did completely different things in the concepts.
Rogue's Resonator it is. Thanks chaofanatic
Yay.

Names please, this is for my second modcomp item
I can imagine Valve using the violent_death animations for these backstabs. Their body resonates to the backstab.
Could be funny.

I was thinking the same thing \:v:/

Mind showing pics of the concepts?
Team colors everywere, water ballons ? water ballons for a grenade taunt kill ? (same problem with the christmas balls),
swim goggles in the 50's ?, etc...
You think they're too colourful? Fair enough, I was kinda going for that with summer items. I've actually toned the colours down a lot from their original versions but if you want them to be any other colours, do suggest. I do have to ask though, have you ever seen a water pistol?
The grenade taunt kill thing has literally nothing to do with stylisation. It's a minor problem that they're water balloons and could easily be fixed with some flavour text such as "These cheerful looking balloons are in fact filled with nitroglycerin.". The bauble grenades don't have this problem at all, they very clearly have a grenade mechanism above the decorative bauble exterior.
The goggles are maybe a bit modern but the hat is honestly pretty boring without them. They're only about 20 years too late, placing them in roughly the same era as the Boombox. Last summer we got the shades based on the "these glasses are famous" vid too, which was a bit modern. Again, this has nothing to do with stylisation, more a general complaint.
And don't etc me, complain properly.

I already see water pistol, but that dosen't mean that you have to do specific real items for TF2, you can for example make a compartiment with water and glass (like Jarate) and then add some fancy bouttons & stuff on the sides.
The grenade taunt kill. Well at this part, opinions may vary, but i think that everything releated to the weapon (animation, using in the game etc...) is part of the weapon identity and styling.
The googles are too modern for the game. Even if the Boom Box made in, it's still "art-breaking" for me...You could make a mask like this one instead.

That set of goggles is for aviation/motorcycling and would just look too ridiculous with a rubber swimming cap.
Oh, that's easy. Just use -tools to open the game in tools mode. Once the game loads up click on the tools tab and set it to particle editor. Then open muzzle_flash.pcf and you'll know heavy's minigun effect when you see it.
Also, when you save it, make sure to click "save as" and select the name of the system you're editing and then press the little "go one folder up" button.
For some reason, they don't save properly unless you save it directly to the TF2 folder instead and then move it into the particles folder yourself.
your wish is Valve's command.
They just fixed the Manmelter particles
Nice job, Rozzy.
Too bad they didn't put in the full set.

That's what i get for typin "swimming goggles 60's". Never see this kind of mask on the old movies like James Bond and else ?
-Added The Sneaky Spats of Sneaking
That's absolutely amazing, added to the workshop, and within a week, its added! A massive well done to you, Rozzy!
(And also condolences to Evil_Knevil. I know how much it sucks to have your item re-made (and badly!) by someone else, then see it be added.)
Congrats to rozzy. Well done.

Also I posted this on the other thread for those wondering what goes into adding an item in tf2

I'm actually surprised that Valve fixed the frying pan anims.

First model I've ever done for the purposes of TF2. Just base colors right now, have yet to do the trigger area.
Open to suggestions and the like.

Should I submit this to the workshop now or something?

Can't rate agree enough.
A most excellent pageking.
Congrats on getting Valve to implement the unused particles. And so fast too!! I bet they'd have never figured out to do that otherwise.
Also, the shweet "charging" effect on the MM works now I presume?

Need criticism pls. Looks off to me and I can't figure out what.
Mostly workshop related but I want to share it here:

given your improvement over 6 months you could very easily make a new one
personally I think you could do a much nicer one by now, the only real beef I have with the current one are the colours and the smoothing groups.
Good on you for not despairing, Deity. It's hard to keep a drive between no items having been accepted, select few people getting multiple sets in, and seemingly only silly (not in a mean way) miscs getting in.
Texan Heel Biters 2.0? Seriously no-one is gonna notice those damn shoes.

I think subtle items are great.
Imo. all items should look like they could be part of the class' default outfit.

Yes they do!
Now can someone tell me how to get into tr_target without activating the tutorial like they do on the wiki?

I could most surely make it better if I made it again today. Thing is, I'm now mostly into animating short clips with decompiled Dota 2 models. I'm now in the Dota Cinema team and the plan is that I make a clip per week. I'm gonna get a percentage from this so it takes priority right now.

I'm guessing you based this on the concepts for the default rifle?

If you do decide to remake it, just spend more time on it than all of those Dota items you made. They all appear extremely rushed and as a result, I'm sorry to say, looks bad.
So they fixed the last breath, but what does it look like?
(I can't launch tf2 till the update downloads or else I would check.)
(Yay 20kbps tethering.)

My new soldier set WIP 100% by me no steals.
