That's why I didn't even posted [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1N2piSLuCY]the last 4 ones[/url] on the Workshop. Honestly I made those weapons for the community (and they get downloaded quite lot) before thinking of getting them accepted into TF2.
Which is also why I prefer the concept of the Workshop of Gmod 13 where items that get uploaded can be instantly downloaded by subscribers. (if you're in the beta, you've probably seen my Mann co. Crate pack).
I'll probably be working on other stuff until Dota 2 comes out then I'll start participating on the soon-to-come Dota 2 Emporium :P

It's a pity that most of the modders nowdays are the complete opposite and rather chuck things on the workshop and never make them mods for the community.

It's not just the model name but also the path. You could try appending "models/player/items/soldier/0x024558d0/disel_sweater/" to the $cd directory to surpass it, and just change the $model name to "diesel_sweater.mdl".
Or just make it one character less. Even though you said you did that.
