http://p3d.in/Admqe my hat, adjusted a bit (the arrow is not a permanent fixture, it is simply where the front bullet hole will go, in relation to the back exit hole)
http://p3d.in/Admqe my hat, adjusted a bit
The arrow just seems unfitting for it. A big bullet hole with smoke coming out of it however, would be sweet.
My summer pack for the Soldier is on the workshop! A day early for some reason! Would really appreciate any upvotes, cheers. Your goggles trash this idea, they just look pathetic on someone as bulky as Soldier.
Got around to posting the other mod on the workshop. :D Click to downvote.
According to the latest Dota blog post, you guys have made 2.5 million dollars. Which means you made Valve 10.5 million dollars in community items alone (doesn't count keys and stuff) also love this from the Dota 2 FAQ Q: If fans are creating content via Steam Workshop, how will you ensure it fits the theme of a hero/game? A: We're acutely aware of the community's concerns around remaining true to the theme of the game, so much so that we think the community should be directly involved in the process of choosing what goes into it. The Steam Workshop allows you to submit your votes and thoughts on contributed items before we make any decision to put them into the game, so jump in and help us stay on the right track. We think the community at large is actually really good at making these kinds of decisions. gee, I wonder why they needed to say that >_>
Now I wonder who here has made Valve the most. Probably Laro or Daimao.
Now I wonder who here has made Valve the most. Probably Laro or Daimao.
Those are the two I'm thinking. Laro has a huge amount of highly desired items, some of the best in the game, and Daimao has the Last Breath, Team Captain super combo.
Seeing all the comments on our Dota 2 items (presuming they came from Dota 2 fans and supporters) there really seems to be some truth to the notion that the Dota 2 audience is a harsher crowd and more critical than the TF2 ones are. Granted they have valid reasons, mainly lower quality from many of the comments, i'm still inclined to make more TF2 items than for Dota 2. I hope this changes in the future and want to see more constructive criticism rather than the "this is horrible" kind of comments. Makes me appreciate the TF2 audience even more too.
Anyone have a link to that HD rocket launcher skin?
Because Dota 2 has a more serious and delicate artstyle and theme. Or had rather, DotA had.
it's remarkable how closely valve tried to stick to the theme while we were developing the items. There other wilder ideas out there that we came up with for dota but valve wanted to keep it simple for the first release. Back to topic. Any of you here have a good idea for a Roman misc for the heavy?
what exactly do they want for community voice packs. Not really sure how anyone could make a high quality one of those without copyright infringement. -oops misread-
I want to make stuff for Dota 2. I'm serious. I don't know jack shit about Dota, but I want to make stuff for Dota.
Don't take it too personally. More people dislike the Ursa set more than your set (and for a reason, who the hell gives a bear a hat? This isn't TF2).
I don't feel personally offended at all. (sorry if my comment came off that way, text cant convey emotions well) Its a general observation. Even in-game, the players are particularly harsh at new comers compared to TF2. It really seems its an acquired taste for many.
One of my main problems with making stuff for TF2 is that I can't get creative enough due to the general theme (60's), I guess since Dota is pretty much all-and-everything I could get more creativity going. dont leave me in the shadow of the giants pls i hab potenithul

Ronin, that's probably because some players are former Warcraft-DOTA players. They weren't exactly friendly toward newcomers too, and I know that very well.

TF2 is a FPS, which means you can come from CoD and at least understand the UI, controls and basic idea. With Dota, it's way different. If you don't know the genre, you run head first into battle, die and get ridiculed by your team.

Let's see if we can work on something.
I don't even have dota to begin with! :v:
I don't even have dota to begin with! :v:
you can draw or google search for what you have in mind right?

I have DotA, love the artstyle and the stuff behind it and I'd love to make stuff for it. But honestly I have no interest at all in playing it, nor have I even installed it. Same goes with TF2, I've only played it once this year.
Scabbard (where sandvich safe goes) [thumb]http://memirr.com/Bayonets%20etc/RomanSwordScabbard.jpg[/thumb]
i made a scabbard once, but blaholtzen never did texture it :( may have a crack at texturing it though, must be on my old hdd somewhere

The rib armor will not work unfortunately. The problem with the armor is that i looks odd having a light colored item on the shoulder of the heavy that is predominantly dark. They did accept the towel so i guess that could work.
you could make it worn and rusty, like it's an antique. That allows it to be dark.
you can draw or google search for what you have in mind right?
I'm not too great with a mouse but yeah of course. I don't even know what the game's style is like though. Apart from magic and stuff.
After seeing all those hippies in the google image search with mullet/bandana combinations, I just had to do it. :v:
