first is BLUcream, middle two are a new hue I chose to be standard (subtlety is key). The last one is balaclavas. Gotta love balaclavas.
I think it might be a tad too subtle. It's somewhat hard to see against scout's pants' color.
Requesting a set to go with the hound dog for the heavy The viva las pelvis "Made in the ghetto, you can't step on these big boots because they'll already be stomping on you." The Memphis special "all right, O.K., you lose" (think a ball from a ball and chain attached to each of the heavy's hands with a bent jail cell bar.) The jailhouse rock "Don't it make you want to go away?"
Looks better.
Sorry was playing AC, here is the current version of it: Yes, it's based off an M1 Garand.
Hey guys. I'm having a bit of trouble with paint. (First encounter) Anyone know a fix? Tips? I've heard paint is troubling sometimes but once you learn it it's pretty simple. I've textures the parts I wanted paintable white in the .vtf but everything ends up paintable in-game instead of the single band that I want paintable. What do?
YEAH, I KNOW. SORRY.
Just joking, really =3

I seem to have missed that. Also, may I suggest you give the rear of the receiver a curvier shape kinda like on the real M1? I think that'd look more interesting. If you want the band paintable it should be white in the alpha while the rest remains black.

I think that's somewhat too rounded. I think the shapes can still be quite sharp but the very back of the receiver arcs outward slightly like so: It's most visible on the bottom M1. Also, I think the buttplate sticks out a bit too much. It could possibly be slightly thicker as well. The front sight middle-post could be slightly thinner so it shows better.
It has to do with the alpha, send it my way, I'll see if I can fix it for you.
Well I'm trying to fix it by seeing the problems myself with advice from other talented members. So far I think I fixed it a bit. However
I think there's some kind of glitch with the workshop. My submissions jumped from 4 to 17.
Finally got it. Feels good to know what you did wrong and succeed.
It's on the workshop, guys! Also, fuck you for not asking for name suggestions. The Drafted Dodger. (It's a pun on the term Draft Dodger, not just an alliterative name)
(But there are some who call it.... Tim) Anyone want to model this baby for the Scout?
Nice! To really get the point across and to look even more blunt and brutal, though, I think it should have the scope still attached.
Finally got it. Feels good to know what you did wrong and succeed.
Aww yeah. Some people think there are too many cowboy hats for the engineer, but I disagree. Distinct variations on a fitting theme is better than extreme but unfitting variety, in my humble opinion.
I think there's some kind of glitch with the workshop. My submissions jumped from 4 to 17.
Has it been an exact number of weeks since you submitted it? I think it re-weights it each week...
Anyone know how I can apply the the tint in my hat's .vmt when it's loaded as a weapon in hlmv?
Anyone know how I can apply the the tint in my hat's .vmt when it's loaded as a weapon in hlmv?
put "$color2" "{colorcode}" in the vmt
put "$color2" "{colorcode}" in the vmt
Works perfectly, thanks!
You know, the Quakecon Pack really needed a few more promos for Quake than just the original. I mean, that's how I look at it. Viking hat was worn by vikings, people as violent as Soldier himself. The metal hat is a hat a common soldier has worn one point in history. As for the horn one, I don't even know.
High ranking soldier in Hell :v:
Who knows, that'd fit. I might look up what context the helmet is in in it's source.

A demonic skull and a brightly colored plastic novelty helmet from a souvenir shop in Gamla Stan in Stockholm even less so. Oh, and a question.. Were the agreevotes on my previous post all about the cowboy hats, or were some about the sniper scope and the hat name?

I also guess you're not a fan of Demo hats either as Demo gets a turban of all things along with a shaman mask and a wizard hood, which all have nothing to do with demolition or historic England.
I see what you mean now. However after having spent years criticizing and hoping the artstyle could in some way be fixed, I've come to terms with the fact that TF2 will never have the same logical consistent artstyle ever again. The game is full of hats and items that are over the top silly, not fitting the time period, not fitting the nationality, not fitting the personality, and not fitting the mercenary/secret agent theme of the game... This can never be fixed, and the only thing you can do if you still want to play this game is to get used to it. You can create hats and items for the people who still take the characters and the games theme serious, or you can make things aimed at the crowds that just want fun.

Frankly, I'm against the whole demoknight thing as well. The Ullapool Caber is a perfectly fitting and pretty damn good-looking weapon. The Eyelander, Scotsman's Skullcutter and Claidheamn Mòr (did I spell that right?) are ok, too, because it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that he found them in some old family chest and decided to go into Jack Churchill mode. The rest of the demoknight stuff, though? Terrible.
