I think that the original concept for TF2 would be nice. Humans v. Aliens with a cool gritty look to the humans. I've always wanted to see what the original concepts for the Team would be like when modeled, anyway.

That sounds like a good idea, and I can help with the programming, provided it's made in Unity with C#, but it really depends on the idea. It would take an idea I find really good to break me away from my current project.
You don't have to make a game guys, why not just start designing your own characters as portfolio pieces? Maybe some buildings and environments. Low poly and high. develop your own styles! Experiment with Zbrush and make some normal maps. With the talent you all have, you could start building more interesting bodies of work. Just have fun with your skills instead of forcing your mind to come up with another kukri,

What about a simple addictive iPhone game? Some really polished 2D animation/sprites and some physics element.

Apply ideas like this to that formula and you get a game called 'JOHN THE FISHING MAN!'. You have to cast a line to catch the moving fish, and the line has gravity that influences it. You develop a concept like this and it can turn into something quite popular
EDIT: You could have different lures that are effected by the physics differently, or have different abilities, like the birds in angry birds. Or differnt types of fish. As long as you get the visual/sound ques right, you have a game that's going to keep my parents awake untill 5am.

The problem is that you'll have to pull me away from my flight based game idea. I have always been fascinated be planes, specifically from the beginning of WWI to the end of WWII, so that will prove a difficult task to do.
Mind you , I haven't started in Unity yet, this is a recent idea and I just started working on details like player classes and their personalities.

Shotgun Sunrise, the vehicular fps about gay cowboys fighting zombies, is open source. The base coding is already there but it needs serious work in the graphics department. I've already begun work on the player model (gave it source eyes, made the face slightly less ugly, and fixed the smoothing. I plan to make new textures in a TF2-esque style. The zombies need an entirely new model because the rigging is horrible. I'm not confident in my ability in making an entire player model and I could use a coder for small bugs. Anyone willing to get on board with that?

Every other texture is about big exaggerated details, whereas this is lots of tiny 'realistic' detail, that is very jarring.
Unwarranted praise is one thing, giving criticism for the sake of "i know you're naked and you don't, so you should go to salvatore ferragamo and buy some clothes" is another.
