Hey I am just wondering, would anybody like to retexture this? I feel like the texture isn't good enough on it. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=18830
I'm actually surprised people aren't jumping on the chance to texture that.
drama means we care~
You know, I don't honestly post here an incredible amount unless it's to post a wip or pure content, but I've got a question for you all. What's the general consensus on sparkwire? Do you guys honestly dislike him? I really can't recall anytime where he's been egotistical, cocky, or a flatout asshole just to be an asshole. Most of the time when I see him being rather...blunt, is when he wants to tell someone that their model isn't honestly good. He doesn't sugar-coat it and honestly he's gotten a reputation that's just not fair in anyway whatsoever. For everyone who say's that he's an asshole; tell me if you've honestly and sincerely talked to him.
I really don't mind sparkwire, he's a nice guy. However if I have one problem with him, it's that most of the time I see him reply in regard to someone else's model, all he says is it sucks and leave little to no advice on what could be improved and not being helpful. If he does though, it's usually pretty good advice.
not this who likes who shit BACK TO MODDING PEOPLE
sparkwire has a nice body
i wanna see
i wanna see
I wanna touch
I wanna touch
I wanna love
Do NOT want.
I think Spark used to behave alot more childishly a couple years ago and that reputation has stuck, being that he rarely posts in the emporium these days people don't have much to go on other then what they've heard of him
The fact that I still talk to sparkwire privately should say something. But yeah that's his personality and I've grown to tolerate it. I remember that his leviathan minigun was one of the models that inspired me to take up modeling and I can safely say that he earned my respect. Very few can claim that despite me not liking some of his inclinations.
Sparkwire asked me once in a Livestream: -" Hey man, did you do that sniper´s knife?" I had posted the Wildman´s Cutlery model with crappy textures just to hsow that I need a texturer, and I was asking for one actually. And of course I was excited about a great modeler being interested on one of my models. So I answered "Yeah, I am!" He said: -"Your textures sucks =)" It sounded rude then, but he explained that he didn´t want to mean it. So yeah, I think Sparkwire´s problem is that goes really straight when talking about other people´s mistakes. And nobody likes that, of course, but that doesn´t mean he is a really dick. Also we have to consider that he will believe himself better than most of the people who post here (at modeling, and he has some reasons to think that of course), so yeah, it can sound more rude, but maybe is just inconscious
I went onto one of his modelling Livestreams a few months ago, and I told him his models were so awesome that I wanted to father his children. He declined :(
i'm just going to say this not everyone here may like everyone else here, but godammit, there's a lot of fucking respect for eachother's talents except some people but that's not the point
Ain't managed to get much done today due to a buncha' shit going down at my place.
Whenever I have asked for Spark's help, I have received legitimate help. Even though his and mine styles are completely different.
back in the day, i used to help out sparkwire whenever he asked for it, then a chance to get his help, and i dont mean to start anything, but i just want this out there, he tried to take over one of my projects, i dont care how long it was sitting there, i always pick up a project after school ends
Sorry to jump in on this. I had no intention of posting today but I really don't think this is appropriate. Regardless of what any of you think of Sparkwire, be it good or bad, you shouldn't all be suddenly laying out his faults and/or good points in this thread. It's not much fun to come home, check on a forum you like while chilling out, just to see people having a conversation that analyzes your personality out in the open for the entire internet to see. In short, your opinions are obviously all acceptable based on your various experiences, but you shouldn't all be gossiping about him.
To be fair, Primrose did ask what we all thought.
Indeed. The subject was provoked, but that doesn't force anyone to reply. Sometimes people post genuine content/wip images to the emporium and don't even get a mention. Just to clarify, I'm not trying to say any of you are trying to be mean or rude towards him. As I said the opinions are valid. I just don't think this is the place, nor is it much fun to read if you are the person being talked about.
I'm actually surprised people aren't jumping on the chance to texture that.
It's because i wasn't here when he asked it (was playing that f2p game for that tf2 hat :v:) So boomsta_, i'd like to.

I was inspired by SVDL to get modeling, he made some shitty concept art I requested him to do, but it took me too long for him to finish it (no offense SVDL, I'm just impatient sometimes) so I decided to make it myself.
I like Spark. He's cool, highly tolerable imho, humorous (at times) and generally fun to talk to. Really nice guy once you actually get to know him.
So... has anyone made the Apron/Fry Cook set for Pyro yet? :D
So... has anyone made the Apron/Fry Cook set for Pyro yet? :D
Aww. Id totally make that. If i knew anythign about modeling.lol
Aww. Id totally make that. If i knew anythign about modeling.lol
Yeah. That's the main issue for me. Had an idea a while back for a sort of diner frycook set with a hat and apron that could also go with the Conny Cap, with themed weapons. The Frenchiefryer and the Splatula.
This might be a little off-topic, but has anyone else besides me ever feared that, since TF2 is already bloated with so much content from the community and such, they'll put the acceptance of community items to a halt (not anytime soon but y'know)? It just seems like they can add so much until the game just becomes too large to handle, in a sense; I don't mean this all to come across as pessimistic, btw I just have this hunch that months, or years, from now I won't have anything in-game and they'll just be like OK WE'RE DONE ACCEPTING THANKS :)
-snip-
I dunno cedar. the content while plentyful may not always be to valves taste, and the weekly items has boosted that certain breed of player who needs to get each new item. we know this. valve knows this. So why would they stop Also that skateboard/flintlock i think is your ticket to an item ingame. it's been popular for quite some time if i recall.

If the skateboard doesn't get in I'll eat one of my many hats.
