The main menu is not good, I don't want to have to effectively translate what the button says before clicking it, I want it to SAY what does, it's not funny. There is literally no difference between the normal HUD and the minimal HUD, though what you have is good because it's largely just KNHUD. You haven't given stranges a backpack colour, it appears grey in the backpack and text is bright green, much like KNHUD, but it has the excuse of having been created before those existed.
In fact this is pretty much KNHUD with a more confusing main menu, sorry, but I think you should try again.

Something about the way the model is compiled, all animations are compiled together so if they wanted to add more they would need source files of the custom animation to re-add it every time, I think

Weird. For some reason the GMod version of Drogentote would crash on the final cubemap.
So I loaded the map up in GMod and compiled the cubemaps there with no problems what-so-ever...

Nice HUD, but the only real problem is is that the KNHUD is just better. What I'd like to see changed is that the Health and ammo and all that is more set like FrankenHUD and the player select menu is more like FrankenHUD (but keeping the simplistic syle, it would be great to have this as an option, because I don't like the centralized HUD). Also change the font to something slightly less silly and change the text colors a bit... change those few things and I'd switch over to your HUD for sure and would probably never switch because everything else I LOVE.

Compiling the cubemaps in GMod makes no difference it seems.
I had everything ready to start uploading a few moments ago,
then realized I had left the capture point and the stone stand it sits upon in the GMod version.
So I'm currently recompiling it.
After that I'll start uploading.
If you don't already know I'll be releasing three teaser videos first at an hour apart.
One will be released with three hours to go, then the second at two hours, then finally the third at three hours past. After the third version I will upload an announcement video which will contain download links.
[b]Edit:[/b] Depending on how the reaction is to the first teaser video, I might cut that down to 15-30 minutes apart.

Reminds me of the first HUD I ever made. It had the default look, but I moved everything right to the lower center area of the screen right next to each other. Cluttered yes, but if you could decipher it, it was nice to not have to glance to each side of my widescreen monitor to check my health and ammo.

The point of the stuff being close to the xhair is so you can see it without looking around. It's not just for casual players, it works for competitive play.
It's SUPPOSED to be like that.

Try the special main menu. I will revert to a simpler default main menu in the next update; which won't be for a while. My partner is reworking some aspects of the health meter. Also, cl_hud minmode toggles between 16v16 (32 player) and 6v6 scoreboards. And if you still don't like it, either go use a different HUD, or make your own.

I have already answered this. If you want stuff at the bottom of your screen, USE PVHUD!
THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS HUD IS FOR CENTRALIZED MINIMALISM! IF YOU WANT FRANKENHUD, USE FRANKENHUD!

It's unfortunately something you have to live with or combat with vmt/lighting stuff,
as TF2 doesn't usually have things like fabric detailing.
The Spy's suit would be a good example as it's pretty much entirely made of one fabric, and he has
several obvious material items such as a shirt and tie. But he has no fabric detailing.
[b]Edit:[/b] On looking at the picture in full; to be fair you have made it as subtle as possible. So it doesn't look too bad at all. But still, you might want to consider either somehow making the detail more flat and cartoony or remove it all together and figure out a better way to avoid the plastic look.
