I got an idea, but don't have the skills nor resources to do it.
A Health Meter styled like in Max Payne series, a silhouette of the current character class that gets redder the less health you have.
Like in this picture, on the bottom left:

In the top 100 submissions, the only ones I like are the Portable Prescription, the Cavalry Cap and the Flesh Wound.

I think someone said that it says somewhere in the place you apply for the source filmmaker that you would be more likely to achieve a beta pass if you had a highly rated item in the TF2 workshop, therefor there's a large influx of people sending in shit ideas.
I'm amazed that no-one made yet Giant pirate canon for heavy.
Really i would be awesome, heavy running with pirate canon and duty rag, shooting chargeable non exploding cannonballs with great knock back and flare fly arc.

If you ask me, everything submitted to the workshop should be APPROVED first before it actually gets there to prevent that kind of crap from being posted.

One idea I'd been wanting to do for a while was design item sets that employ the Doctor Grordbort's weapon's animations in more conventional weaponry. With the Classic update coming, I thought I could finally throw my hat into the ring with this Pomson 6000 replacement:

I say you make it a Widowmaker replacement. It looks more suited to it with the whole ammo box loading straight into the gun.

That looks great, but I'm not a fan of weapons/miscs that uses other in-game items, even if they're remodeled.
Wouldn't it be kind of confusing to see a group of people, and one of them uses this? Like if you're a Spy or Engy and need metal, you'd sneak behind them expecting ammo but it's not there.
It's like having a medigun using the small HP model.

That's a good point that I failed to consider, though I was instructed to change it on the Emporium chat. In an earlier incarnation of the design, I had intended to design an ammo case for it:
