Started on a lever-action rifle for pyro using the flaregun animations, based on the one used by Muntz in Up:

Just basecolours right now.
That's a clever use of animations but won't he be shooting flares?
That's a clever use of animations but won't he be shooting flares?
As a mod it'll have to, but it'll have a custom shell and if it ever got in-game it'd hopefully shoot bullets.

Oh, and btw, it's A4 sized, so you can print it, and stick it on your PC or something.
I'll stickytape it on my screen so I can learn non-stop.

I have a glass display plate on my desk, where it will last forever next to Dutchman's killicon tutorial
Hey Neo, are you going to be updateing Hatzilla any time soon?
The retarded conclusions people who have no idea about how modelling works come to piss me off.
how is that a conclusion of how modeling works
how is that a conclusion of how modeling works
He's saying people who don't know how modeling works that assume stuff make him angry, and I tend to agree with him
The underglove has been replaced with a couple of straps due to massive clipping with the viewmodel hand.

Is it normal for properly rigged LODs to do this in model viewer?
(EDIT)
It only seems to do that when switching the lods manually. Auto LOD works fine.

except the guy didn't say it had anything to do with modeling, and that it just looked like the whiskered gentlemen, that's pretty much a retarded conclusion for neo to make in itself. i mean yeah, he said suspiciously, but I really doubt he meant it like "oh you stole the whiskered gentlemen and were trying to pull it off as your own even though you're a wellknown modeler here."

With stuff like that, you should probably make a firstperson model, rig it to the c_arms, and use the thirdpersons as lod, at distance 1. The firstperson will only appear in firstperson, and the thirdperson model only on thirdperson, and you keep the c_model.

Constructor redid the texture for me!
We are now working together on this thing (and going to make a set)
I finished these items supposed to be for an engie set more focused in engineering that texas style, and now I´m looking for a good modeler who can and wants to take care about them all!
Also, I was thinking about entering the classic update with the shotgun, so if that can be done quickly even better
The automatic flintlock and the wrench are completely finished, while the aproon and the nuclear pistol need some tweaks (details and rigging)

I have a general thought about how the could look and some suggestions too.
Note: please, ignore any AO bake error, just taking it for this =D
What bone is used for rigging the weapon?
Hey Neo, are you going to be updateing Hatzilla any time soon?
Yeah. I kinda have to because I have a lot of items backed up that I haven't released. Realised some of the new code that gets items from the schema was broken so that's set things back :c
What bone is used for rigging the weapon?
It depends on the weapon, but weapon_bone is almost always used in weapons

I heard people like unfinished textures and medic sets.
White part is glass and will cover the coil.

Here's the set's hat,just ao bake for now.

I say you should make the dish a little bigger at the end and the ball a little smaller

Looks great, except for the top, it looks very uniform and flat.

The crank strikes me as a bit odd. Wouldn't the long part just rotate around the small screw, leaving the short part (and by extension the valve mechanism inside) in place?
I really like the general design, though, and that lower handle is just lovely.

If the nut keeping those two bars together is tightened enough, they can move as one large crank. However, it does not appear to be that tight.
Just finished this:

It's also team-colored, but for some reason it's not loading the "engineer_blue" texture :/
QC part here:
$texturegroup skinfamilies
{
{"models/player/engineer/engineer_red.vmt"
"models/buildables/dispenser/dispenser.vmt"}
{"engineer_blue.vmt"
"dispenser_blue.vmt"}
}
EDIT: Just fixed it so it can load the engineer_blue texture, Here's a picture:

Put it in his pocket
Put it in his pocket
I think someone did that already.
A while back Jacen made a Krieg helmet but the design wasn't exactly right so me being anal decided to completely make my own with a more lore accurate perspective in mind.

The Imperium logo isn't there for multiple reasons, all of them being lazyness.

Maybe toss the Pyro's emblem where the Imperium logo would be? Seems a bit visually dull, just being flat and what not.
Perhaps the Pyro's emblem overlaid onto the TF2 logo, that might look interesting.
