Enough people misuse it that dictionaries define them as interchangeable. Language evolves from people speaking incorrectly. If we were actually handling guns, yes, it would be wise to know correct terminology, but we're making 3d models for video games. Knowing the correct terms doesn't make you better.

I'm late to this but I don't believe that the star needs the engineer class logo. It's tiny and unnoticeable apart from a blemish at any range. Would be better without it.
