That's not...really how version numbering works. It doesn't have to be a whole new V2 but it can be V1.1 or so. That's generally what's done with small changes and fixes.

This is why you keep your psd's, or whatever the equivalent is in GIMP if you use that.

Anyone know where I can find the Engineer's expressions.vta file? I can't seem to find it in the SDK.

This was the first thing that came to mind so I had to make it.
So I was thinking, we have 2, maybe 3 items in TF2 that reference TFC. This is kind of terrible. Many, many, many, many people would ADORE TFC cosmetics.
But then I thought... well maybe it's an ip thing? Well no it can't be because Dota2 has Sven's original sword in Dota and we already have 2 TFC items, one a direct reference...
So here's an idea I concepted. Pyro's hood thing from TFC, the original models. Instead of having flesh exposed, this extra layer of protection sits snugly over his gasmask.
It's also derivitive enough. It sits on Pyro's gasmask, and its color is sampled from Pyro's body suit, not the original color of the hood (but it could be paintable to get around that)

But really, I don't see a reason they wouldn't accept a derivative TFC hat :/

I'm texturing in Photoshop and go "I think I've improved" then I update the texture in 3dsmax and think "man this looks like shit", probably because there's no phong, then try it on model viewer and it looks alright..?
I haven't touched the rubber parts yet, and I don't know how I'll approach them. uughghhh

This reminded me, are you by any chance making a V3 of the Cow Mangler particles?
Though the current ones are still nice, I feel they lack a certain visual flair of your newer stuff like the Bison and Phlogistinator particles. They just seem a tad too smooth and clean, if you know what I mean.
Also, could you possibly fix your blood fx mod? I think the pyro update broke it.

Rubber is difficult, I would say honestly just give it some edge highlights and maybe a few brush strokes if you can and call it good. The metal looks really good.

Is it metal anyway? It might just be grey plastic or plastic painted silver as is common for headphones. The official art seems to suggest the latter, due to the higher contrast of light and dark.
The pleather parts could be slightly wrinkly like on most typical headphones.

You'd better give yourself a lot of slack, Heavy's hands can get pretty far apart from one another. I'm actually unsure if them being connected would cause clipping issues during some of his animations.
