I really have no idea.
The colors are just there to make sure the texture works.
I think I might just go back to the bake though.

That's quite bland and the wood textures colour is too yellow imo.
I'm sure somebody has paintfixed this before, but I haven't seen it. I needed to do something, everytime I equip my purple painted one ingame I feel a little ill. Made it nice and shiny too.

It's an old wood axe, not a whole lot you can do to make it not "bland". The commenters all seem to like the fact that it's simple.

A simple scratch a smaller mark somewhere, some grain on the wood or a stain.
You don't have to put on glitters and lime paint, some delicate details would do it justice.
I think maybe the thumbnail isn't doing it justice, because it has quite a few details.

There's a lot you could do to make it not bland (no offense). Darker metal, worn on edges on the metal, much shinier/contrasting detail on the metal, less yellow more detailed wood (the more wood there is the more detailed it should be seems to be a general rule for TF2: for example, Sandman is fully wooden and very detailed, Eyelander only has a wooden handle which is pretty much brown under AO)

Stuck a bumpmap on it to accentuate the bands/stitching. Worth keeping?
that normalmap seems inverted

I think that is a little too detailed.

It shouldn't be, black makes the normal drop down right?
Well the black bits of thread look like they're dipping in, isn't that backwards?

welppppp I guess we'll take a look at it. Eventually. As it stands I've been sitting on this thing for like a month and am kind of just relieved to finally have uploaded it.

Looks neat
Looks better than before both of you above.
now all I have to do is touch up the seams again and redo the SFM render and take entirely new screenshots and update the submission and update the mod and I still need to get in game screenshots and upload it to gamebanana and upload it to TF2mods and and ;___;

looks even more like the one someone actually modeled based on that concept but I couldn't find that one
