The paintbrushes on the dark metal are barely noticeable, and it's gonna be worse ingame. And like Void Skull said, the greys are too close to each other.
Im gonna need someone to step by step me through the texturing process if I want my textures to be any good.

They're included in Inspecter's Manniversary Paint Fix Pack. No point though, I still won't be wearing my own hats because I hate the way they've been made to look to other players.

To help a little bit without being given step by step help with texturing, I need to know some things... -What is the best brush to use? Are there any special settings for it? If so, what are they? -What opacity should the brush be set at? Note that I have a tablet but im not very good with it. -Should only straight lines be used? -How do I determine where to put scratches and normal brush strokes? Just random or what? -What is the best way to choose colors for brush strokes? How different should they be from the base colors? -What is the secret to making good spec maps? I'll probably think of more later, but I gotta leave for work soon. Thanks to anyone willing to help me out. *also note that I have little photoshop experience and no artistic talent

It's entirely up to their discretion how the items look. I have no idea what they want them to look that way when pretty much every other texture in the game has barely been changed from how it looked when it was uploaded, but there's nothing anyone can do about it.
