Those are fucking awesome nonetheless, though.
It's relevant because it's pretty much the exact same concept? Exposed skin with a gold chain covering up the seam. Thought I'd pitch in with you whining how people are doing the same ideas as each other :^)

Why aren't the white ones sampled from medics labcoat? The bottom of the blue one seems to be but that's not obvious enough imo
Especially with all the extra red on the bloody style, I don't think that one will get in for that reason.
Also the clipping at the top

As valve chose to dick it up to infinity

They're both sampled from the labcoat, but the top was made white because having them completely labcoat didn't look very good and having the slight gradient brings you attention to the torso of the pyro, but still has clear team coloring nearby. As for the blood style, I don't get why you could say it wouldn't get in in that state, because that's to me, saying you got killed by a medic because you saw red splotches on him, but he was blue.
I need some serious coaching when it comes to texturing.... Everything I try ends up just looking like total shit. Is there anybody that would be willing to give me a hand?

No, not really. Moreso that a lot of stuff I propose early on is shrugged off or put down, then is implemented later on. Nothing wrong with multiple people doing the same things, but it is frustrating proposing it far earlier on, being put down, then shafted.
