The first image looks like a dogs penis emerging from their body. The second shape isn't even close to what I have in my picture. It's leaning due to being in a pocket of sand with a shovel under half of it. Maybe if the sand was even fucking level your issue would actually make sense.

Oh stop it! Your model is a freaking penis. Just change it and make sure you don't picture a penis in your head while you're modelling.

I did a search of sand castle, and there's only one that I found that makes use of the penis shape.

All other instances of this type of tower have an incredible amount of detail to make it look less like a penis and more like an actual tower. Utilizing things such as windows, brick/stone design along entirety of tower, and supports built under the "head" of the tower.
So yeah, change it to a simple squareish sand castle, or a bucket shaped one. Otherwise you're going to get even more dick jokes.
Alright, update:

- Desaturated and darkened the grey leathery part of the mask
- Added an envmap to the eyes
- New improved phong mask with more contrast
- Generally played around with the layers to make everything pop a bit more, especially the edge wear/highlighting on the front part of the mask
- Put Bills hat on it because it looks a lot better with a hat on top for some reason ([url=http://jetpilotoverseas.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/efd1df4ca13ce409_large1.jpg]will make a helmet and put that on it for the workshop promo[/url])
- Made the eyes a little less thick
Good to go you think? Any ideas for names? Maybe the Warbird?

Whoa, that's some incredibly cohesive sand. Is it mixed with clay or something? Dry sand usually doesn't get you any more narrow outwards angles than like 150 degrees, and even with wet sand I don't think you tend to get less than 100-90. That sand's just straight up concave.
When I think of sand castles, I think of stuff like this.
